The scalding water would act as a soothing element to her wounds as she would wince at the pain of the lacerations scarring her tainted skin wearing the remainders of her trials as relics of her tribulations. She could trace her fingers over the scar of each of them and transport herself to the time in which she had endured them. But as she should have been terrified or saddened by the memories, she would be empowered; wearing the mindset of a queen and not a victim.
