After all of that stuff that happened, Damion called Jane over to bring me a more suitable dress. It was a deep green silk gown, matching Damion's suit jacket perfectly. To be honest I was on cloud nine...I was barely cognitive as the words my handsome mate spoke echoed through me over and over again.
"We will do this together." I could still hear his smooth velvety voice as a sigh of complete happiness left me. My hand reached up, my fingers instinctively touching my now swollen lips as I remembered that kiss. The kiss that changed everything..it was like an awakening..giving me a glimpse of what my life could be like. The chance to have true happiness..he was going to try..he was actually going to try!
It took everything in me to not kick my legs and giggle like a fool.
