Ivy dashed out of the car immediately we arrived home. She's probably not taking the whole marriage thing so we'll, and neither am I.
"Are you actually going to marry that girl?", Ben asked.
I shrugged, "We could fake marry, when dad's out of the picture we can then go back to our normal lives", I said.
He sighed, "This is frustrating", he said.
"Tell me about it, I'll go talk to her", I said and got out of the car.
I got into the living room and she wasn't there, I heard muffles from the kitchen, I sighed.
I opened the door and met her wrapped up in a ball on the floor. The f**k??
"Ivy?", I called.
She was murmuring things are could barely understand. She was crying.
I ran to the floor.
"Ivy?"I called again shaking her.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for everything", she said in between sobs.
"Ivy what is it? talk to me", I said again holding her in my hands
Ben got into the kitchen and saw us.
"The f**k is going on?", he asked.
"I don't know I just came in here and saw her like this", I explained.
"She's having a panic attack", he explained.
"It started in the house when I met her at the hallway", he said again.
"Ivy, calm down, please", I said hugging her.
"They're going to kill me, I'm going to die, I'm so sorry", she cried.
“No one is going to kill you", I assured her.
"This is all my fault, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry", she cried harder.
"f**k", Ben mumbled and left the kitchen and went out.
I really don't know what to do, I started rocking her back and forth.
"Ivy it's okay, I'm here , no one is going to hurt you, no one is ever going to hurt you, I'm here, I'm here for you okay?", I whispered in her ear rocking he back and forth.
Ben came back with a syringe.
"What's that?", I asked.
"It'll calm her nerves, then it'll make her sleep", he said.
"No side effects?? she's carrying a baby remember??", I asked making sure it was completely safe.
"Completely harmless," he said and then injected the substance into her.
Ben is into all these medical stuffs.
"How long does it take to kick in?", I asked.
"5 to 8 minutes max", he said trashing the syringe.
She wasn't crying again, she was now sobbing and murmuring things.
"Ivy?", I called calmly noticing she was calming down a little.
"Mmm", she answered in a low timid voice.
"Are you okay?", I asked again.
"I'm sorry", she said.
"For what?"
"Everything"
"Stop apologizing, nothing is happening", I said.
"They're going to, they're going to kill me", she whimpered.
"Who?"
"Them", she said this time her voice being very very calm.
I looked at Ben, we had the same person in our head.
"Want me to handle them?", he asked.
"No it's okay, I got it", I said.
I sighed, her eyes were closing slowly, she wasn't crying again, her breathing had gone back to normal, she was suddenly very very calm.
"I'll be back", Ben said and left.
I found myself rubbing her cheeks. They were so soft and alluring.
Even though she had tears all over her face and her perfectly fit bun was now messy, she looked effortlessly beautiful.
Ivy is so beautiful, I have never seen someone so effortlessly pretty. Her ginger hair was so silky and soft.
The last time I had her in my arms like this was two months ago.
Crazy thing was, I woke up that night after the alcohol had cleared my head and I was just staring at her.
I knew I wouldn't get to see her ever again and so I took my time to absorb everything about her and disappeared in the morning.
Days after that I still thought of her, I had throughout of finding her but it seemed impossible to start looking for an Ivy with a red hair all around Italy.
She didn't even give too much informations about herself so i Just had to let it go, she brought out a part of me that had died for several years that night, for the first time I felt real.
So imagine the shock I got when I saw her all penged up in my office the other day, and she really thinks I'm going to let her go just like that? hell no.
"You have a meeting with Gregory by 11pm today", Ben said coming in to the kitchen.
"That's an hour time?", I asked.
"Yes".
I sighed, "I should get her to her room", I said and carried her bridal style out of the kitchen and upstairs.
"Where is Mrs Smith?",. I asked.
"She should be asleep by now", he said.
"Ok well drop the information to her before we leave, tell her avoid Ivy and make sure she checks on her tomorrow morning ", I said and got into her room.
I dropped her on her bed and pulled the sheet over her head.
I helped her take off her heels. I dare not touch that dress because that body can make me sin a million times.
I rubbed her cheek again.
It suddenly occured to me how soft I'm being around her, this was unlike me.
Even when Laura would get drunk I'd ask Ben or Mrs Smith to take care of it.
But here I am single handedly taking care of everything.
It's probably the baby, I mean I'm supposed to act nice to her since she's carrying my child right ? of course.
I turned off the light and shut the door.
I met Ben and Mrs Smith in the hallway.
"I heard what happened, is she ok?", She asked.
"Yes she's asleep, please check up on her in the morning, we won't be coming back any time soon",I said.
"No problem, I will", she said.
"Thank you", I said and we left the building.
