Crouched down into a ball, I held my head and shut my eyes tightly, it suddenly became even colder and the person was still there, just waiting. I was too scared to look, it gave off much negative energy, but it didn’t do anything, it was just there.
“I apologize for frightening you, please stand up”
It was Nikolai, but why did his presence feel different from how it normally felt?
My legs were still weak, I wished he would go away so I could recollect myself but it was obvious he wasn’t going to. Seeing as I failed to stand, he helped me by taking my arm and pulling me up, when I was up, I took a moment before looking at him, my hand was on my chest, feeling my fast-beating heart.
