Linley's condition was worse than I'd imagined, and my mind can certainly run away with me! Linley had been stabbed in the stomach, her face was swollen, and there were scrapes and bruises all over her body. My brain instantly went in to who could have done this? and why. But I came up with nothing. Yes she talks s**t but we all do. Honestly she was the most beautiful and kind person you would ever meet. She looked at me and smiled. An apologetic, sad smile that broke my heart. "Hey... I knew you'd come." She huskily whispered before she passed out. My heart and blood were in my ears as I began to panic. Before my brain could catch up I ran over to her, kneeling beside her. One of the security guards was putting pressure on her stab opposite me as I grabbed her limp hand in mine.
