Damien's POV The sharp pain in my shoulder was gone and yet I couldn't move. It felt as if my whole body was being weighed down leaving me with no control. I couldn't even open my eyes. All I could do was hear.  "We should have never let them go," my mom cried. "This is all my fault." Mom? How could she be here?  "It's not and will never be your fault," my dad's voice spoke.  Dad was there too?  "I let them go," she sobbed. "I was the one who convinced you to let them go. That Paris would be a safe place for them and that they wouldn't get to her there and now... Now..." Her crying filled the empty silence in the room. I wasn't awake but I still felt it. The dread.
