"So what now?" I asked. "I mean, this clearly can't go on."
"Which is why we gave her a trip with Gabby as a birthday present," dad said. "While she is there, we will try to clean up this mess here. Or at least that was the plan before this," he said gesturing to the computer.
"So her gift is to distract her and to get her away from here?" I chuckled dryly.
"Pretty much."
"It should have surprised me but honestly it doesn't," I huffed. "You said it was the plan before all of this, now what is the new one?"
