Chapter 5

After I had fixed the documents I stood up and walked to adonis's office, wait! What's his name.. Grayvan Nordstorm. That explains why the color of his eyes were blue and he could not understand our local dialect. I heaved a deep sigh, I was going to have a nose bleed here.

I knocked twice before entering his office and walked into his table. He did not throw me a glance after I placed down the documents.

"Mr. Nordstorm here's the documents you need. And you have a meeting with Mr. Anton Dela Vega at eleven, with Mr. Gaspar Zapanta at fourteen, with Mrs. Elena Jones at fifteen, with-" he suddenly raised his hand to cut me shortly.

"All right, is that all here.. my schedule for today?" he asked while reading the papers. Only 'Yes, Sir' were my words to him. "Okay, you may go now." he said dismissing me.

I headed to the door, so he really didn't remember me at all? Well, good then. I got back to my table and went to work. And I remembered there would be a board meeting tomorrow.

My eyes snapped to the clock, he has a lunch meeting with Mr. Dela Vega, the only question here.. do I need to come with him? Since I'm his secretary. His office door opened wide and Mr. Nordstorm appeared, I was contemplating whether I would ask him if I going with him or not?

But since he never looked back at my way, even though he had my whole attention. I know, no need to bother it's pretty obvious I was not needed. I focused my eyes to the computer, I was fine here. Much better that I was not with him. I was too afraid on just ogling him the entire meeting, I shook my head. That jerk did not even being polite by saying goodbye. Are you his mother to do that? I didn't mean that but at least be polite on telling me that he's leaving or what.

Lunch time when I went to the cafeteria, Marie was already there. We ordered something we could eat as we sat down on an empty table. I was thinking now on telling her about the new CEO of Fuentebella & Nordstorm.

I looked at her before I spoke. "Do you remember sis last saturday? When we were in the bar? Remember the guy I kissed that night?" I asked her, I was not yet starting my food while she was chewing hers.

She first took her iced tea before responding. "What about that guy?" raising her brow. "Do not tell me, you see him in our building and to make it cliche he's our office mates?" she laughed at her own answer.

"The guy I kissed that night.." I swallowed hard even I was not taking my food. "The guy I kissed that night.. He's.. he's our new.. CEO." I sighed heavily after saying those words. And lastly I spilled it out.

And because she was eating that time, she spat out everything she had in her mouth. I closed my eyes while removing the food she spat out on me. Just great.

"You're so gross. It was only noon but look at my dress now it looked I had fun in a children's party." shaking my head. That's gross!

"Pardon?" she asked me again. As she drank to her iced tea and I glared her thinking that she might do it again. I would surely hurting her!

"I said, the guy I kissed.. in the bar.. is our new CEO.." rolling my eyes at her. I knew that she heard me right but she made me repeat what I had just said for the effect.

"What? Oh really?" she almost shouted. "Then what happened?" she was now having this teasing tone.

"Nothing, and that's better he did not know me at all. Thanks God! Coz if he did, I might tend my resignation in my second day." I heaved a sigh. "That was so embarrasing.. imagine I kissed a stranger and when he kissed me back it felt like I did not know how to kiss. He told me right in my face that I was not good at kissing?! I lost being wasted that moment and then after that kissed he was dead to the world. He treated me next like as if I was just a wind in front of him." I bit my lips, that was really embarrassing.

"It's all right as long as he did not recognize you. And how are you sure that he did not remember you?" she raised her brow.

"Well, the moment he looked at me, no hint of recognition at all. So I presumed he didn't, besides the place was too dark and he looked a bit tipsy that time." I just shrugged but I remembered his eyes that night, his deep blue eyes. I was pulled out of my reverie when I heard Marie's laughter.

"Looking at you sis now, are you fantasizing him? You were blushing like as if you were day dreaming or wet dreaming?" as she laughed at loud. "Maybe he's handsome, I do not remember him all when I was a lil bit tipsy that night." tipsy my ass. You were drunk Marie! I almost shouted at her. "Based on your face, it making me wanna seeing him. And he's my Aunt's nephew what a coincidence? A night to remember indeed." she smiled sweetly.

Oh do not fool me with your cunning smile Marie Mendoza. I know those smile and look.. Don't me!

"Stop it Marie Mendoza, that was not a night to remember, it was so terrifying." I said annoyed. Thinking now that I was going to work with the man I had just kissed, given that he did not remember me which was good. But he looked like he hated the world.

"I did not say anything bad, I just smiled that's all." she giggled now. I was close on hitting her by my hand.

"He's like a monster to me, it seemed he wanted to replace me when he learned that I had no experience yet at this field. Thanks to Aunt Claire, she defended me." I pouted, Madame calmed him down on throwing me out.

"But you do not really have any experience yet?" she raised her brow. My eyes went wide when I remembered a thing, it felt like an innuendo or something. Marie was sometimes not thinking right, I wondered why she became my best friend.

Her eyes were alarmed when I get silent. "Hey, it's all right.. eat up so we're not went back late at work." guilt was written on her face.

I started eating, yeah it's all right, I was fine now. I smiled at her a little. "Anyway I told my parents about your offer. And they were cool about it." trying to change the atmosphere.

We had already discussed that I might move to her condo next week or month. While conversing she told me that she might pay a visit her Aunt not sure if she was still up on teasing me.. when she said that she might seeing Mr. Nordstorm there. I was back at my table and Mr. Nordstorm back at late afternoon. When I glanced again at my table clock, just ten minutes and I'm done. The question is.. is he going to home too?

Yesterday I politely told Madame about my leaving. How about now?

I had sorted out the papers I had to ring to Mr. Nordstorm, I knocked twice before I entered his office after hearing him say 'Come in' I walked near his table and placed down the papers.

"Mr. Nordstorm that's all the papers need to be signed. And the board meeting will be started at nine tomorrow.. Uhm.. and do you need anything, Sir?" that's when he looked up at me.

He tilted his head to the side before he opened his mouth. "Nothing, you may leave now, Ms. Yagono." he said and turned to the papers, my eyes followed the papers too.

"Goodbye Mr. Nordstorm." and walked out of his office.

I took my bag to the table and wlaked to the lift. I just noticed now that the CEO office occupied the entire thirtieth floor, so the other departments were located on the another floor of this building. I sighed I had never been yet looking at his office in a bit long even I entered that office room a couple of times. When I felt everytime that I heading the office I was going to be fired.
