I asked Shoe once why Pack Witches never banded together and fought against the Elders. He explained that the amount of power it would take to go up against them and the packs that support them is more than we have, even as a collective. And once we were drained, if no one were around to care for us when we were dormant, we wouldn’t survive.
Ironically, I never really paid much attention to what he said next, but now those words haunt me. He said that when a Pack Witch wakes up from the healing rest, it will feel as though they have been thrown off a cliff and dragged for miles by a bear. He lied; it feels so much worse.
