Jalasia POV "Asia wake your behind up we gotta get you ready for your last year of high school!!" My mom squeals through the door waking me up "I'm up mother!!" I yell back looking at my calender I sigh "July 31st the last day of summer the last day of freedom." I said before making my way towards the bathroom taking me a shower "The only time I actually get peace." I think to myself as I wash my melanin skin riding myself of any dirt formed by sweat If its one thing I hate is being dirty I cannot stand dirt!! I finish my shower I didn't have to worry about brushing my teeth because I did it in the shower I dry myself off and lotion my skin with pure raw aloe vera plant And go towards my closet since its still hot I choose something simple a neon pink strapless dress with some cute pink slides I get my ecostyle gel and begin slicking my edges and putting my hair into a high pony tail fluffing it out I walk over to my full length mirror and smile at my appearance before going downstairs seeing my siblings and father eating breakfast "Well good morning sleeping beauty ya finally woke up." Christian said and I roll my eyes making my way over towards mama kissing her cheek I fix my own plate and sit down at the table and dug right in "Ummm aren't you going to pray over your food Asia?" My big brother Jermaine asks and I shake my head no "Not Christian so therefore I don't have to." I said cheekily and he shakes his head then my father speaks up "Jalasia this a Christian house hold." Father says and I shrug my shoulders continue to eat and he slams his fist down on the table making it shake "Don't you shrug your shoulders at me little girl." Father says and I roll my eyes Here he goes I swear Jermaine shouldn't have said s**t "I mean its my choice if I don't want to be baptized than my decision should be respected." I said eating and he looks down on me "You are not grown little girl you are still living under my roof." He says and I sigh getting up from the table beginning my walk back up stairs and mom saw "Aren't you going to eat breakfast with us Asia?" Mom asks "No let me know when you ready to go." I said heading up stairs already pissed off this early in the morning What a great start for the last damn day of summer
