I ate in silence, his words echoing in my head.
My heart thumped wildly, knowing he loved me. At least there was someone in the world who loved me. But did I deserve someone like Zephyrus? Could I ever love him back? He deserved so much better.
“What will you do when you’re crowned the king of Aromania one day? Will you leave Lucania?” I asked to stop the other thoughts from driving me crazy.
“No, Lucania is mine. I can’t leave her. I’ll be the Alpha of the Luceres Pack as long as I can. Maybe I’ll pass it on to our son one day.” His blunt reply made me blush. I couldn’t see that far. How would I give birth when I knew nothing about pregnancies?
