Lena’s POV It was morning already, but I was too sore to get up. I could hear Zephyrus move around outside, but I couldn’t join him. After much effort, I somehow limped towards the washroom to freshen up. Despite the pain, I felt sated, and euphoric, as if floating on cloud nine. The bedroom door opened and Zephyrus entered carrying a breakfast tray laden with enough food to feed a battalion. “Why did you make so much?” I chuckled as he set the tray down on the coffee table overlooking the deck. When he pushed the curtains aside, the view took my breath away. I had no idea there was a lake in his backyard. The frozen lake shone under the pale sunlight “You need to eat to get back your strength, Lena. After what you’ve been through, you need it more than I do.” He held my hand and le
