Felixe’s POV I could hear them hunting for me inside the castle. This was my only chance to escape with Hera before they realized my whereabouts. With her arms tightly wrapped around my neck, and her legs around my torso, I had to be cautious not to hurt her or the pups. Slowly I eased ourselves down to the second-floor balcony. The rope wasn’t big enough to reach the ground floor. “What will we do now, Felixe?” she whispered as a tremor shot up her body. “Trust me, baby.” I slipped into the dark room and hid in the walk-in closet. Releasing Hera, I looked around to check their whereabouts. Where were they? I could hear their distraught yelling from the ground floor of the castle.
