Hera’s POV
I closed my eyes to sleep, ignoring the restlessness I felt all day. Maybe I imagined Felixe’s presence around me. If he would have been here for real, wouldn’t I be able to connect to him? It had been almost two nights since a pack of strange wolves abducted me from my village. Yet no one arrived here in search of me.
I didn’t know who my captors were. They took advantage of the security lapse on Lena’s Luna Ceremony when the entire village was gathered at the pack house. Feeling under the weather, I stayed back in Hazel’s house when the intruders sneaked in and blindfolded me in my sleep. I woke up, startled, but they gagged me, tied me up, and took me away with them. I couldn’t seek help from anyone!
