Lena’s POV
I gripped my dagger as I waited for Zephyrus to open the door. If he had expected me to hide while he fought the enemy, he was wrong. I could quite help him in any fight.
However, Zephyrus relaxed as he went near the main door. Maybe he had recognized the creature on the doorstep. He opened the door with a look of relief to see David standing there, covered in snow.
“Hey, Alpha! I just dropped by in case you needed something!” I gave him a look of relief, although Zephyrus didn’t look surprised by his presence.
“Come in. We’re in a fix.” He opened the door wider to allow David inside.
“What’s up, Alpha?” He looked at Zephyrus with concern.
“Did you see any footprints in the snow? Or maybe someone outside the cabin?” David shook his head but scrunched up his nose.
