Alpha DeAndre P.O.V

Dr. McBain pulled us to the side to talk to him. He looked horrified at what he was about to tell us. Zavier was on the couch, playing with his tablet, looking sad. I stood behind my Mate as she was sitting in a chair sobbing quietly, holding Abijah's hand. He bowed then sighed deeply, a sad frown on his face saying,

"Alpha, Luna, we've done a full-scale examination of Ms. Nichols and.." he paused, taking off his hat, running his fingers through his salt & pepper hair, his brown eyes haunted,

"She's lost a lot of blood, so we had to give her a transfusion. She has bruises on over 90% of her body, she's missing patches of her hair, he fractured most of the bones in her face and her body has multiple broken bones. The back of her skull is crushed and her spine is broken. Which is why we have her in a body cast." Toya sobs harder. I rub her shoulders and hair, trying to calm her down. He continues,

"She has a concussion and several of her teeth are loose. We inspected her body further and had to.. uh," he looked back at Zavier, then whispered, "We had to stitch up her anus, it had been ripped about an inch or so..." sighed, his lips were in a thin line, his brows furrowed.

Toya gasped, horrified. I shook my head, sighing wtf did she do to deserve this? Dr. McBain looked at me cautiously. I nodded for him to continue.

"She malnourished. I'm not sure when was the last time she ate food. The only contents in her system were.. semen. Her throat, windpipe, and esophagus are badly damaged inside and out." Holy s**t!

"Yes, Shawn was choking her when I walked in! She had already been unconscious.."

Toya says, her shaky hand going to her mouth. I bent down and kissed her gently on her forehead, wiping her tears away. Abijah was her friend. I knew this was hard for her to hear. s**t, it was hard for me to hear that My Beta did this to the woman he, claimed he loved and wanted to spend his life with!

"We don't know if or when she will be conscious again. Goddess knows she's in all types of pain! This is why I put her on strong painkillers, diluted werewolf strength painkillers. That should help her out. But her bones have to heal and that's gonna take some time because she is human. We just have no idea-" I cut him off.

"It doesn't matter how long it takes, just do everything that you can for her, okay!" It wasn't 't a question but a command, an Alpha command! "Yes, Alpha!" He said, bowing. "And keep us updated on her condition."

He nods and leaves. I looked over at Abijah and felt guilty. Guilt for encouraging Shawn to pursue her fully. I remember how intensely possessive he was towards my cousin, Naeomi, and she was his MATE! He can't be allowed to do this to her again. I'm going to ban him from her to prevent this and protect her.

I hear a commotion outside and in bursts... My Beta!

Zavier P.O.V

I was on my tablet ordering Ms. J some more flowers and I got them to deliver them to the hospital ASAP! I can hear them talking about Ms. J and I couldn't believe that my uncle did this to her! Tank says ' If he looks like he's THINKING of touching her again I'll rip him in half!' 'I agree with you 100% Tank!' I was chatting with my best friends, the triplets, JaCoby, JaCory, and JaCody, telling them what happened to Ms. J when my uncle comes in. I can feel Tank taking over me. He hated my uncle more than I did! Tank growls lowly.

My mom was sitting by Ms. J's bed holding her hand, and my dad was behind her. They started arguing. I was listening closely.

"What the hell did she do to deserve this, Shawn!?" Mom stood up, glaring at him with tears in her eyes. I haven't seen her this mad since I dared Shawnae to roll down the stairs with me, to see who made it to the bottom first!

"She was cheating on me!" Uncle yells. Dad steps in front of mom growling at uncle and tells him, "Don't you EVER yell at your Luna, Beta!" Uncle submits immediately apologizing, "Sorry, Alpha!" He said, yeah Dad put him in his place!

"What do you mean she was cheating on you?" Mom asks incredulously. I learned that word at school last week. Just then, a knock came at the door. Mom went to answer it. And returned with the flowers I ordered for Ms. J! Yes! I know she'll like this when she wakes up. I grin! She closed the door. "Who are they from!?" Uncle asked her impatiently. She glared at him again. Then looked at a piece of paper in the flowers.

"To: Ms. Nichols From: FAZ?" she says, and I hear uncle growl loudly. But he doesn't scare me. "That's who she's been cheating on me with! I asked her who it was and she wouldn't tell me! Do you know who this FAZ person is?" He asks my Mom. Tank took over and said,

"I'm FAZ!" They all turned around to look my way like they had forgotten I was there. They looked shocked and surprised at me speaking.

"What do you mean, nephew?" Uncle asked me. Well, Tank. Tank says,

"FAZ F - Future, A - Alpha, and Z - Zavier, that's what Abijah calls us! She said that she loved purple flowers, so I ordered her some." Tank says smugly, crossing his arms over his chest. He stared down Uncle, man Tanks brave! My Dad comes over and asks me,

"Is this the friend that you asked me to help you order flowers for last week?"

He asks with a serious look on his face. Tank nods.

"Yes! I ordered her flowers for the whole week. And when I came to ask if she liked them yesterday, there were 3 of them just sitting on her desk! I haven't seen her all week!"

Tank was pissed! Staring at my uncle menacingly, I could feel his hate radiating from us.

"Is that why you attacked her, Shawn, because of the flowers?" Mom asked him.

"Yes, I thought she was cheating on me and I wanted to teach her a lesson-" he started, but Tank moved lightning fast towards Uncle, slamming into him with so much force it left a huge dent in the wall! Tank had his hands tight around uncle's neck and his knees in his ribs, pinning him to the wall!

"DON'T YOU EVER TOUCH HER AGAIN! SHE'S MINE, MY FRIEND! IF YOU TOUCH HER AGAIN, I'LL KILL YOU!!"

Tank says in his Alpha voice, uncle was showing his neck in total submission, his eyes down, trembling! Dad comes and pulls me off him, Mom hugs me, and Tank gives me control again. I heard my Dad say, "Beta, gather all of Abijah's belongings and pack them up. She's not allowed to live in your quarters any longer. I've assigned one of the Omega's to prepare a room for her on the first floor. Is that clear!"

"Yes, Alpha!"

He left immediately. Tank says, 'I need to feel her, Zavier. Touch her hand.' I go near her and touch her bandaged fingers, and she is so cold. Tank whimpers and howls in agony, saying, ' I wish it was something we could do!' Me too, Tank! I kissed her hand, sad for my friend and that's when I felt her grip on my hand shakily!
