"So, you sing?!" I exclaim. "That's so cool, and now I'm jealous... you can sing and dance, and I barely know how to run."
"I have an idea," Adam stands up and goes to the waiter, he whispers something to her and comes back to our table. He offers me his hand, and as I held him, he leads me to the 'dance floor'. "First of all, we'll start with slow dancing."
"You didn't even ask me the question," I shrug. "So, I'm not dancing."
"Daisy, will you dance with me?" He asks, placing his hands on my waist.
"Of course," I nod. "But don't judge me for not knowing how to dance."
I found a love for me,
Darling, just dive right in,
And follow my lead,
I found a girl,
Beautiful and sweet,
Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me...
I placed my hands on his shoulders as we swayed to the beat of the song, it felt amazing to be dancing with him.
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark,
With you between my arms,
Barefoot on the grass,
Listening to our favorite song,
When you said you looked a mess,
I whispered underneath my breath,
But you heard it,
"Darling, you look perfect tonight."
We just keep on staring into each other's eyes, until the song has finally come to an end.
Baby I'm dancing in the dark,
With you between my arms,
Barefoot on the grass,
With you between my arms,
Listening to our favorite song,
I have faith in what I see,
Now I know I have met an angel,
In person,
And she looks perfect,
No I don't deserve this,
Darling you look perfect tonight...
He almost says something, but I feel a tap on my shoulder. As I turn around, I come face to face with the waiter who hands me my phone, I look down at my phone that was ringing, momma is written on top of the screen.
What time is it?
I immediately answer the phone, exhaling slowly. I know I am in big, big trouble.
"Hello?"
"You have the audacity to even say hello?!" She shouts.
"Wait, what time is it?" I question, because I genuinely do not know.
"You have a charged phone, how can you not know that?!"
"Mom, I am with a friend right now."
"You don't have friends," my mom sighs. "You know what I mean, you don't have friends that stay up outside till three in the morning."
"Not my fault that your daughter made me walk alone," I shrug. "Mom, what time is it?"
"Check your phone."
I checked the time before placing it back on my ear, with widen eyes. "It's three thirty in the morning."
"Bingo."
"I really do not know how time passed this fast," I try to explain myself.
"Now get your butt back in the house, before I tell your father who's asleep right now, so do not dare make a sound."
"Okay," I nod before pressing the red button. I look at Adam and frown, "I have to go, my mom is super mad."
"I'll drop you now!" He takes my hand and signals for Claire that he'll pay later. "Quickly get in the car."
"Do not drive fast and careless," I gasp. "I still did not meet Shawn Mendes."
As soon as we climb into the car, he just smirks at me. "Shawn Mendes, eh?"
"Yep," I nod. "Now let's go."
"Am I ever going to see you again?" He asks as he starts the car.
"Why do you want to see me again?" I scoff. "I'm a mess."
"Well, we didn't get to dance more, and I'd love to think that you owe me," I playfully hit his arm, and he laughs.
***
When he parks in our driveway, he looks at me with a smile on his face. "It was really nice to meet you, Daisy, I really hope we'll get to do this again."
"Just ask me for my number directly," I laugh. "No need for the cheesy talk."
"Fine, give me your number," he smirks. I hand him my phone, and grab the ten dollars from my pocket.
"This is for tonight," I give it to him, and he just looks at it. "Take it."
"Give it to charity," he winks at me.
"It's your money," I place it in his lap, and open the door. "You give it to charity."
He hands me the phone, "one question, but what window belongs to your room?"
I furrow my eyebrows, "it's the first window at the top."
"I'll talk to you tomorrow," he says.
"Thank you, Adam, for saving me and for being a good person," I smile genuinely at him. "So far, at least."
"I am a good person," he gasps. "You're home safe and sound, right?"
"Yeah," I nod.
"That's enough proof, now go before your mom kills us both," he pushes me away gently.
"I know you want to get rid of me," I stuck my tongue out at him. "See you never."
***
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND??" My mom yells at me. "THREE IN THE MORNING WITH A STRANGER?!"
"I told you he's a friend," my voice cracks at the end, my mom sounds scary when she yells. "You let Mason stay out till the next day, what's the difference?"
"The difference is that you're a girl, and he's a man," she argues. "At night, men won't follow men but they will follow any girl they see."
"But I wasn't alone," I shake my head. "So, no one really followed me for that long."
"So, someone did follow you," my mom glares at me. "Now go to your room, you're grounded."
***
My phone vibrates, notifying me that someone sent me a message. I open my phone, and see hero's name pop up.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Adam," he says. "If you didn't recognize the name, I am your hero anyway."
"You're not going to stop teasing me, are you?" I chuckle. "Thanks to you, I'm grounded."
"For how long?"
"I don't know," I shrug. "Probably only today."
"What time did you wake up, sleepy head?" He asks, and I look at the clock on top of the wall.
"Thirty minutes ago," I answer. "I slept really late, and I woke up at twelve."
"I would've slept until four, if it weren't for my stupid brother who has a mission to go to," he groans. "I'm so sleepy, I can't even open my eyes."
"Brother, ha? What's his name?"
"Oh my god, please do not be interested in him," he whines. "Last time I introduced him to a friend, he dated her."
"I'm going to date your brother just by knowing his name, eh?" I laugh.
"His name is Xavier," he says.
"Who are you talking to?" A very hot, raspy voice appeared on the other side of the phone.
"My new friend," he replies to his brother.
"How many new friends do you have?"
"One new friend," he says. "And she's my favorite so far."
"I'm blushing," I spoke.
I wasn't.
"Because you're-" i shush him when my mom enters my room.
"Get ready, we're going out to eat lunch," she says.
"Aren't I grounded?" I ask.
She looks at me with a boring look on her face, "just get ready."
"Tell her if you can go out with a friend," Adam speaks.
"Mom, can I go out with my friend?" I ask.
"You're still grounded," she adds.
"Let me talk to her," Adam says.
"No, I won't let you talk to her," I shake my head.
"I want to talk to her," my mom offers me her hand, does she think I'm stupid?
"Mom, no," I backed away.
"I'll let you go out with her if you let me talk to her," my mom shrugs.
"Let me talk to her, sleepy head," Adam groans.
"I don't want to go out with him anyway," I tell my mom.
"Okay, I'm hurt," he says.
"You're with your brother, i***t," I roll my eyes. "We can go out some other day."
"Okay," he whines. "Is that a promise?"
"Promise," I smile. "Look, I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Okay, I love you," he says.
I laugh, "I hate you more, Adam."
"Love me back."
"Too early," I chuckle. "Anyway, see you soon, bud."
"See you soon, sleepy head."

Sitting across from my cousin, Layla is telling us something about work, but I am distracted by the two boys sitting at a table in the corner of the restaurant.
The curly haired boy caught me staring, and his eyebrows furrow. He says something to the boy in front of him, then looks back at me. Later, he did something I am not expecting. He glares at me.
That jerk glares at me.
His 'friend' turns around, and I can see his eyes lit up, and a huge grin forms on his face. "DAISY!"
My mom and my aunt both look at the boy who yelled my name. "Ignore him, how did he know your name?"
I look at my little sister as if she's stupid, and roll my eyes. "That's my friend."
"Your friends aren't hot," Sophia laughs.
I glare at her, "as if yours are."
I feel someone tapping my shoulder, I turn around to see a very happy Adam. "Funny seeing you here!"
"Weird seeing you here," I narrow my eyes at him. "Are you stalking me?"
"Maybe," he shrugs. "Introduce me to your family, and I'll introduce you to mine."
"That's your brother?" My eyes widen.
"I know," he nods. "He's uglier."
I smile sweetly at the boy, "oh, well."
"Too late to introduce me, I'm introducing myself," he shrugs. "How many family members do you have? Wow, I'm Adam."
"You didn't see nothing," I shake my head. "Adam, that's my mom and my aunt, my sisters Sophia and Lola. These are my cousins who are obviously sisters; Jasmine, Lydia, and Harper."
"Nice to meet you all," he smiles at them. "I'm stealing Daisy for now, call me when you need her, good thing you don't have my phone number, eh?"
He holds my hand and leads me to his table, he doesn't even wait for my family's response. Not that it matters, but still.
"Xavier, meet my new friend," he points at me. "Her name is Daisy, just like the flower."
He looks at me, his eyes darkens and he rolls his eyes.
"Excuse my brother's behavior, he's not very good at being friendly," Adam says. "Sit with us."
"I have to get back to my family, Adam," I frown. "We can go out tomorrow, if you want."
His eyes light up, "OF COURSE!"
"I can't wait," I wave goodbye to him and head back to the table.
Xavier has curly brown hair with blue-gray eyes, and beautiful stubble beard. He is insanely hot, of course you will find the two most hottest boys in the world.
I am being sarcastic, by the way.
How can I find the hottest men I've ever laid my eyes on?
This all isn't fair, both of them are so hot, and I'm just like... ugly.
So ugly that I might start to cry now, because of how ugly I am.
Smh.
Shaking my head.
