Axel P.O.V - Part 2 Her father took her by the hand and kissed her on the forehead. She was smiling like an angel. My heart was pounding in my chest like crazy. Connor was driving me nuts-I forced him into the back of my mind. A giant birthday cake appeared with 18 candles on it. She got ready to blow her candles, but her mother stopped her, who asked her to make a wish. She closed her eyes for a minute, smiled with her thoughts, I guess, opened her beautiful sparkling eyes, and blew the candles off. Her father asked her to make a small speech. I realized she was feeling uncomfortable but spoke in a sweet voice, thanking each of us separately and asking us to enjoy the evening.
