JOHANNA MET NATALYA’S EYES.
“Ghosts are not common here?” Natalya asked.
Johanna shook her head. “I think your stepbrother has brought them. He is here. I haven’t seen him yet, but I’ve seen his ship.”
Natalya nodded. “He has brought all his unused souls and other ghoulish creations. They wander around feeling lost and trying to trick people into giving them more power.”
“It’s worse than that,” Johanna said. “King Nicholaos hired the necromancer to resurrect his daughter. He was only partially successful and the princess’ ghost hovers around, attacking unsuspecting citizens. She must be looking for her place of rest. The men are now having a drinking party over her grave.”
