"So, I was drunk and high which is a terrible combination to have in a bar. And that is not an excuse whatsoever for what I did." Carter waved his hands as he tried to explain himself. "I- I got so mad at this man abusing this woman. It- it wasn't okay. So... I walked up to him and punched him in the face. He fell to the ground, and I got on top of him and didn't stop. Didn't even hear the woman screaming behind me. The bouncer grabbed me off of the guy and the manager called the police. I was arrested."
Ariana's eyes got wide as she scrambled across the bed from him. "Arrested?"
"I was put in a holding cell. My father knows people in high places, and he paid them off. I was freed and that woman was paid to keep quiet. I... never drank to excess again and never did drugs again." Carter
