Carter sat at his desk and picked at his salad that Adalee had brought him. He didn't love salad, but it was something healthy and on his meal plan. He sighed as he looked over the texts from Ariana. He hadn't talked to Cruz in a while. He had gotten busy in the last year. They were roommates in college and he had been there for a music history degree. Carter was getting his business degree to take over Anderson at the time.
He cleared his throat and picked up his phone to hover over Cruz's contact information. He gathered up his courage and texted him.
[Carter] Hey man, it's been a while. How have you been? Life has been busy on my end. I uh... I met Rosalyn. Apparently, you're dating her now. I'm happy for you man. She's pretty awesome. I met her uh... She happens to be best friends
