After ball

After I leave Colton. I look for my sister Elle and try to find her. Not much time later I find her with her friends chatting and sitting on the couch. I walk closer to her, when I stand right in front of her eyes she looks into my eyes and smiles at me.

"Hey...finally...I thought you might want to stay a little more."-She smiles at me while standing up.

"No, we promised so I will keep my promise. Let's go. I'm already tired and ready to go to bed."-I tell her while I yawn and we walk outside just to catch our usual uber driver. We sit in the back of the car and talk about the night.

"So did you find some hot boys tonight or wasn't any lucky tonight?"-She asks curiously.

"I actually did a Beta and an Alpha from the same pack. They are really hot I don't know but if the rank is upper the boys go hotter. Did you meet someone interesting?"-I answer her with a big smile on my face. I just think our dances and kisses we share make me blush on my face and down.

"Not really. I think I have time to keep myself, my mate if he comes to me. While I just enjoy my life hanging with my friends and with my family because who knows who will be my mate and maybe I have to leave with him because he is from another pack."-She says and sighs then looks out the window and looks at the big moon.

We make home in a good time. We say our goodbyes and separate our ways to our room. I wash down my makeup and get in the hot shower. Brush my teeth and put some shorts on with a top and get in my bed and close my eyes. I dream with amber colored eyes and hot kisses. The next morning I wake up late but it's Sunday so no big deal.

"Nikki wake up. Breakfast is going cold if you don't wake up now."-Aaron yells at me from my door frame and smiles at me. He knows how to piss me off. I like to sleep a lot, especially on Sundays.

"Ok, just a minute. Now leave before I kick your a*s."-I treat him while I open just one eye and then the other then sit up and walk to the bathroom getting ready. I make my way down the stairs and head to the kitchen to find all my family members there.

"Oh, honey you look tired. Did you have a good sleep?"-My mom Amber asks me. She must have heard the way Aaron woke me up. I make my way and hug her because I love her so much. She never treats me differently from her real kids and I am really grateful to her for that.

"Yeah, actually I sleep like never before. I think I am more tired than I think."-I answer her and kiss her cheek and she does the same. The best mom in the world.

"Nikki, I hope you had some fun yesterday. Because not long after you guys left, a big fight just started because a girl who just found her mate already has a boyfriend and he doesn't want to leave the newfound mates. So a lot of punches are shared then more drunk guys join the fight so we have to make a call of the ball and make everybody leave. Old memories come back."-My dad Adam says while he smiles and I think he travels back in time to remember old memories.

"Yeah dad, I had fun. Good music and good drinks are always my favorite thing. Sorry that I missed the fight. Love to see wolves fight for each other. It's so hot."-I wink and smile at him. He doesn't like the attention I get from boys. He still thinks I am still Daddy's little girl.

I am looking for some food and find it on the counter. Some omelets, bacon, and toast. My plate is full of food and I sit next to Aaron. He has a big smile on his face, so it means he has a good night with some she-wolf because he smells different. Yuck, he is never gonna change and always will be a playboy.

COLTON POV

We are leaving not much later after Nikki leaves. After that, I don't feel much fun and my mood is gone. I think I feel something between us but I'm not sure yet. Damn, I hope we will really meet next year and hope for the best. Hope she has not mated with someone then already. Those beautiful silver pairs of eyes. They will come in my dreams for sure. Alex my Beta has a smile on his face that tells me he is not here right now, somewhere else in his mind.

"Maybe she is our mate but not sure. She is making us feel so good and our bodies too. She has a powerful aura and her wolf also."-Chase my wolf says while I think about Nikki. I agree with him. That kiss was just wow. My heart skips a beat when I remember back to how she reacts to it.

"Hey what are you thinking about? Did you find your mate already that's your smile for or something else?"-I ask him curious because I need to know if our pack number will be increased.

"No sorry man. I am just thinking. I Met with some good-looking girls but Nikki was the hottest. Does she have a boyfriend?"-He asks with a wide smile on his face, but his question makes me growl. I don't know what is with me, but thinking about Nikki with other men makes me mad. Chase is on alert too. He looks at me confused on his face.

"No, I don't think so. What happened between the two of you tonight?"-I answer him between clenched teeth. It made me a little jealous. They didn't say anything about it if something big happened between them so I hope not.

"Ohh you know just dance together. Stir a little and then she leaves for the restroom then after I see her with you. And what did she do with you?"-He asks and looks at me and does not let me look away.

"Well.. We..um dance, talk, drink, and kiss."-I whisper the last word and hope he doesn't hear it. He makes a surprised face. Sure he heard it. Damn, I was f*ck up now I have to explain to him. I know him too well, what he thinks. He knows that I never let girls come close to me that easy and petite time.

"Now I listen. Let's hear tonight story then."-He says and leans back in the seat.

"So we just bump into each other. Spend time together out on the balcony and talk. Then dance and have fun. Look at each other's eyes and I feel something inside me melt, then it just happens and we kiss. The best kiss of my life after that she had to leave and we say our goodbyes when you left. Make a promise to meet again next year later the same place, same time."-I sigh and remember how her lips taste and feel on mine. A year is so far yet and I want that time to pass now.

"Ohh so you like her, you never make moves that short. And that promise looks like you're serious about her and she is really beautiful."-Chase and I growl lowly about the comment about her beauty.

"Ok bro easy....I know, this means she is yours I don't make a move on her, only if she is my mate."-He makes a huge grin on his face. Yeah, I hope not because it will break my heart to see that beauty with my best friend and can't even touch her because she belongs to someone else.

"Fine, sorry, but it feels right. Hope that one year will fly by quickly. She feels like something different than other she-wolves."-I sigh and we arrive at our places where we stay for that day while staying. I and Alex make our way to our own room. Have a cold shower to chill me and not think about her too much. Head to bed and fall asleep fast.

The morning is coming too soon and we have to appear at a meeting between just the Alphas, Betas, and Gammas for rogues and territory issues. Just a fast breakfast and we are on our way to the conference room. Everybody gets their seats around the conference table. Now that we are all in Shadow Moon territory we have to all follow their rules and don't make any scene. In the end, the Shadow Moon pack Alpha, Beta, and Gamma show up. That is when her scent from last night hit me. Some of them carry her scent but not sure which one. I know it's her smell so I look around. Alpha Ashton from Shadow Moon starts his speech.

"Thank you everybody for joining our meeting this morning. The ball yesterday was successful and some mates were found. We are happy that we have peace between our four-pack and blissful from our alliances but we all have problems with rogue attacks. They have not lost any members' death but never know what the future holds. We want to talk about this problem and come up with solutions."-He says and looks around the table with everybody.

"I don't think we can do anything more. We all have border patrol and good warriors if a fight is coming and help each other when the other pack needs."-Alpha Erik from Moonshine pack speaks up. Everybody nodded in agreement with his statement.

"Maybe if we change some people between each other and share their techniques what we think is useful for the other."-Alex my Beta speaks up. That idea makes me think. He always has good ideas and loves to hear them.

"Not bad. I think we should try that and know what could come from this. We even have more connections with if another attack happens and try to figure out what they plan behind the attacks."-Alpha Ashton likes this idea.

We speak about this plan more between us. So we agreed to switch some warriors between each other. The next day we start that plan after everybody gets home and makes decisions about which warrior we switch. I, Alex, and Brad, my Gamma, leave the room with the others. Go back to our room and pack up our bags for tonight's leave. I just want to look around the pack one more time and hope that I bump into Nikki again before leaving.
