“It’s okay dear, and we both apologize for not taking your feelings in factor. We are too blinded by the prophecy to even notice that you feel that way, and we thought you are just a socially awkward girl,” Ashura replied to the maiden that is currently wiping her tears. Even hidden Kamandag tried to console her crying friend and felt very sorry, because even she is not aware of how she really feels inside. They thought that it was okay for her since she always seems so enthusiastic, and disregarded her awkwardness towards others. “But you need to go there as soon as possible,” Azura cuts in and his twin, Ashura elbowed him in the stomach. He angrily looked at his twin but Ashura just gave him a scolding expression, telling that his timing is not right to say those things to her. “I am sorry for my rudeness Amber but you really need to,” this he said it with a polite manner. “We felt sorry for how you feel towards this whole situation of yours but life in this kingdom really depends in your decisions,” and there he goes again giving Amber so much pressure and Ashura just elbowed him very hard again and this time Amber noticed that but she don’t want to point it out instead she finds it funny. “Worry not dear,” Ashura said while his twin, Azura is trying to ease the pain caused by his brother. “Arthur is there for you and from the looks of it you two seem very close compared to the time you two me for the first time,” he paused and pointed his gaze towards her shoulder where Kamandag is hiding. The snake felt shivers all over her body when their eyes met. “And I believe that you have friends that will support you on your new journey,” he continued and didn’t point out Kamandag’s presence in the room. “That was close,” the striped snake whispered to herself, using her tail to wipe the small ounces of sweat in that brief moment. “You two will start your voyage early in the morning, so make sure that you will take enough rest for the long journey,” Azura reminded her. “Also, there are foods prepared that will be sent into your room, so eat enough to give you strength physically and mentally,” he added, keeping in mind of his belief about foods being the best therapy whenever you are sad. Ashura walk towards the maiden and offered one of his hands to lift her up and guided her towards the door. “I believe in you,” he whispered to her ears, and this gave her some comfort instead of pressure. She walks outside their chancellery and when their faces met, Ashura gave amber a wink and the maiden finally smiled. After talking to the kings, Amber walks her way towards her room and from a distance she already smells the food that’s been cooking in the kitchen nearby. Her stomach grumbled, and she was easily tempted. Checking on them will not hurt them, she thought to herself. Blinded by the delicious smell of food, Amber bumped into a young encantada. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Amber immediately apologized to the young encantada, while putting her hands as if she was guarding an attack from her. The young encantada quickly gets up and stare at Amber very seriously, she is not happy for what happened but she still managed to compose herself. Amber scanned her face because this young encantada seems familiar and after a moment she remembered. She is the one who told her that the kings needed her in their office earlier. Well she seems in rush. Tanya isn’t it, she tried to remember her name since she introduced herself. She looks so intimidating that even Amber can’t talk to her straightly. “It’s okay your highness,” she told her while clearing the dust in her clothes. “If you may excuse me,” she started to run again, with an insane amount of speed. She really is in a hurry, she assured herself. After that moment Amber did not have the motivation anymore to check on the kitchen. She decided that she will just wait the engkantos to serve the food inside her room. Her hands travelled towards her angry stomach since it grumbled once again but the temptation to check on the meals is not enough to make her way on the kitchen again. Amber reached her room and quickly closes the door and immediately locks it. Her breathes are heavy as id she was exhausted from a very long jog. She lied down to her bed and stare at her ceiling, that is very decorated beautifully. They are very luxurious indeed. Kamandag crawled out and looks at Amber with so much concern towards her partner. She wanted to know more about Amber, and she plans to form friendship as this was the only way for them to have a very strong connection to each other, since her mission is to guide this girl to the right path and protect her from their enemies. She is very innocent, that’s how Kamandag saw Amber, defying her life experience back when Amber is in the human realm. In some other way, Amber is just a little girl at heart seeking protection from others that humans can’t give her. A knock on the door made her to sit on her bed, and timidly gets up to open the door but she was energized as soon as she smells the food behind the door. She run towards it and quickly open the door, greeted by two male engkantos wearing a white chef hat with a tray full of plates. “Good evening your highness, here are the meals for you tonight,” and Amber welcomed them to her room and they pushed the cart inside her room. They prepared the plates in her table and one by one they put the dishes in order. From the appetizer to the main dish for the night. Amber’s stomach growled loudly and her face quickly turned red because of embarrassment, but the two chefs didn’t mind it at all, instead they treated it as an honor for their cooking. They are honored knowing that the lost princess of the kingdom really looks forward on eating their food, on which they put their whole heart on cooking it. After they put all the meals on the table, they say their regards to Amber and one of them told her that ring the bell beside her, so that they can clean after she finishes eating. After they leave the room, she immediately dives on the meals served to her. Kamandag smiled awkwardly thinking that foods may help her to cool down from the pressure she is constantly carrying. -The Phoenix’s Maiden-
