Long Road home
Jeremy
I almost hit her. I almost hit Carolina when she went against my order to defend Rico and that slut! I grabbed the wheel so hard that my knuckles got white as snow. Rico took the passenger seat by my side and didn't say a single word for about an hour. I wanted to be back home. Far away from this human and leaving the f*****g bond behind. I hated that she made me want her. That the bond made me want her while I despised her! She was rotten to her core! Only the Goddess knows how many men she pleased! I don't want a w***e as my Luna, neither a human w***e! I felt my nostrils getting wide and my wolf coming to the surface while we got further from her. He tried with all his strength to take control of our bodies and run back to her. The car beeped and I growled. We were running out of gas. I saw from the corner of my eye a gas station and rolled down the road. Rico got out and went to pay while I filled up the car. Humans stopped next to us and I heard them talking.
- I hope this place is really worth the time. - a tall young man said. He wore a long black jacket and he had black hair.
- I guarantee it will be amazing! This is the best burlesque club in the state! - an excited redhead said.
- I've heard that the girls usually do extra work if you know what I mean. - the third guy said and the rest of them laughed. I felt my blood boiling. So I was right about Carolina the other night when I helped her out. She was about to... I couldn't even think of the word without feeling pain. She just chickened out! My wolf tried to convince me that I was wrong and we couldn't know the truth but I've heard enough. I wanted to get in the car when the redhead said.
- My favorite is that latina chick... Dear God, those hips and legs. I wouldn't stop her if she wanted to wrap them around me.
- Why don't you pay for a private dance then? - the black-haired asked. The redhead chuckled and asked.
- Why would I? She is going to be lucky for spending time with me. - they all laughed but by that moment I was already at their car grabbing the redhead by his collar and lifting him up. He was a pathetic, small and weak human with a big mouth. My wolf took over control because he couldn't tolerate anymore that they talked about what is ours like she was a toy!
- Don't you dare to touch her!- I growled into his face and his friends tried to get me off of him without the slightest success.
- Man are you insane?! - he asked.
- Thia is none of your business! - the black-haired said and I turned to his direction keep holding his friend. I felt my eyes pitch black and my canines showing a bit. He was a hybrid I could smell from his scent. He immediately realized what was going on and he took a few steps backward.
- We don't want trouble. - he said and the brown-haired guy ran to the shop to call the police but he ran into a confused Rico. He had a bag full of snacks and drinks and he looked at the tiny human.
- Where are you running my friend? Let's talk. - he held the human under one of his huge shoulders and walked back with him to us. Rico also noticed the hybrid who bowed his head to him a bit.
- What is going on here? - Rico asked and the redhead clearly had a death wish because he answered.
- We were about to have a boys' night when this psycho attacked me! - Rico immediately understood what happened and he walked to me and said through our link.
-"You can't hurt a human Jeremy.
- He can't talk like that without getting punished!
- I thought you didn't want her! - Rico said but my wolf didn't let me answer he did instead.
- Jeremy doesn't know what he is talking about. I won't let him ruin our chances! - he growled and Rico showed his neck in submission.
-Understood Alpha. But let him go know and we will find a solution soon. - my wolf snarled and gave back the control letting the human go. I stormed back to the car and shut the door closed but not before I heard Rico say.
- I wouldn't go there if I were you. Just a friendly advice. - he left the humans and jumped behind the wheel. I calmed a bit down but I couldn't believe that my wolf had gone to that extreme because of a human.
- Where now? - Rico asked.
- Home! Where else should we go? - he smirked.
- Well, based on what I just saw, I would risk to say that back for that human. - I growled and he shrugged.
- You are too proud and stubborn Jeremy, honestly you are stubborn in a stupid way.
- I'm your Alpha and I'm older than you! - I said and Rico chuckled.
- And I'm your best friend and know you as the palm of my hand. - I scoffed and closed my eyes pretending to be asleep. But my wolf got nervous. I opened my eyes and saw that Rico was also alert. I asked him in a really low voice.
- Do you feel it too? - Rico nodded. We both had a feeling like someone had been watching us. He drove slower and we paid lots of attention to our surroundings, but the uneasy feeling disappeared at when we were halfway home.
Meanwhile in the Sunset Pack's Packhouse...
Nicolas turned to Arnold after Jeremy and Rico left. Arnold was a very simple guy, he had huge glasses, short brown hair, brown eyes and he wasn't fit at all. Nicolas only kept him as his Beta because Arnold was really smart and tricky.
- Tell the head warrior to send a team after them. There was something in Alpha Jeremy that woke up my curiosity. He wasn't simply angry because of that miserable excuse of an attack. There is something else that keeps him alert. - Arnold nodded and rushed to warn the head warrior. Soon, five of the best trackers were already in Jeremy and Rico's heels. They saw how Jeremy and Rico helped to Roxanne and Clarissa. They also saw Jeremy's behavior around Roxanne and how he attacked the human boy when he talked about her. They rushed back to Nicolas when Jeremy and Rico was already close to their own Pack. The head warrior Gustav, went to report to Nicolas. His huge steps echoed in the Packhouse and everyone scooted away from his path. Gustav was a tall, muscular man, in his late thirties. He wore his dirty blonde hair cut short, and his blue eyes burned a hole inside those wolves souls he interrogated. He knocked on the door of Nicolas' office and he answered the door with a soft voice.
- Come in! - Gustav walked in and Nicolas motioned him to take a seat. When he was sitting on the chair in front of Nicolas' table Nicolas smiled.
- So what do you have for me? - Gustav grinned.
- I believe that I found a really weak point at Alpha Jeremy. - Nicolas leaned closer and Arnold tried to escape from the room. He was terrified of the Alpha of the Fearless Pack. He heard stories about how strong and dangerous Alpha Jeremy was. Arnold didn't want to be on his bad side, but Nicolas kept him in his hands. He had no choice than to serve him. Nicolas smiled viciously and said.
- I'm all ears.
