Thank f**k for the bullet proof vest, but I won’t lie. My chest feels like I’ve been punched by the Hulk. My ass hit the ground at the same time as the second, more injured man fell to his death. The star had a boomerang like effect, slicing open his neck with ease before coming back and landing at my feet. The man behind me stumbled to his knees, cackling like a maniac. Heavy footsteps sounded to my right before Ghost appeared with panic in his eyes. My fingers trembled as I unzipped the front of my bodysuit, revealing a bullet lodged in my vest. I glanced up at Ghost who remained frozen as he stared down at me. My lips curled as I finally raised my eyes to meet his, offering him a thumbs up. “What the f**k happened?” he roared, glancing behind me at the man dying on the ground.
