My heart skipped a beat hearing his question. I bit my lip and pointed outside, “I mean, the night is about to come upon us. It will be dangerous to travel back. I’m not underestimating your abilities, but if you’re going to travel with two children then at least do it when the sun had already risen. If… it’s possible, I guess. That’s what I mean, nothing more.”
I lied. There was definitely something more. I didn’t know what would happen when they parted ways, and even though it was a bit selfish, I still wanted to spend more time with my mate.
“Well, I asked Alpha Amos for three days to figure things out. It’ll be a waste not to utilize it.” He grinned playfully.
I scoffed, “You’re pretty laid back, don’t you think? Won’t that Amos guy kill you if you’re late or something?”
