“I have to check the condition of the pack. I want you to accompany me.”
I looked at him in utter confusion, and there was a bit of reluctance in his eyes, but he didn’t take back his order. I don’t have a wolf to tell me things I don’t understand, and even though I always wish I was like everyone else, this was one of the times I truly felt so lost without a wolf.
He stood from his seat, though he wasn’t finished with his meal yet. “Dress in comfortable clothes, and let’s see each other in half an hour in the garden.”
The Alpha left without another word, making me sigh in frustration. Bella and Chloe approached me with awkward smiles, trying their best to offer comfort.
