“You’re not taking me seriously,” I complained after seeing Amos grinning. I asked him if I could resume my training, but apparently, no one knew Stella’s whereabouts after the incident. I would have asked Aaron, but he was sent out on an errand outside of the pack.
I was worried that she would be pinned as a perpetrator because of this, but Amos already told me that they didn’t have enough evidence to accuse anyone, especially since the guy they caught decided to take his own life to avoid being questioned.
It’s terrifying to think that they were willing to die rather than get caught and point at the mastermind. It makes me think that the people behind this have a certain hold on them and were being threatened, too.
