Chapter Six The Interview I’m not sure what instigated my impulsive act. I think it was JD as much as it was Elsa or Honey who brought about my phone call to Martin Ingram. Certainly that brisk spanking in the alley set-off a new round of desirous thoughts. The idea of a man punishing me for bad behavior sent me reeling back in time to days I tried hard to forget but obviously found impossible to do. I decided not to lie. Martin Ingram would certainly recognize me the minute I arrived at his basement apartment, so it was useless to cover up who I was. At the same time, I doubted he knew I worked at Riordan & McCall, so I chose not to mention anything about his appearance in our office.
