Vera POV

I knew I was making a very big mistake but it is only solution that I have right now at the moment . Based on how I am feeling right now, the only thing that I desire right now is to get away from this place as soon as possible . I need to get away from this office first thing - right now.

I dial the number but instantly cancel it .

“ This is crazy of me ” I murmur to myself as I storm out of my chair instantly beginning to pace around the whole gigantic office .

“ Damnit it , Vera I had no idea you were this a coward .” I mock myself for sure failing to make this stupid simple phone call. I get hold of my phone once gain but this time I boldly begin to dial the same number without making hestiations at all.

I finally manage to dail all the numbers that I need very well and then press yes.

The phone rings for so many times without any one picking up until it finally goes to voicemail .

I can't believe this, even the simple hire boy can't pick up my phone . Am so doomed right now .

Still contemplating about the next step to do , my phone suddenly begins to ring. I instantly get hold of it wondering who the hell is ringing .

“ Yes, I am busy at work ? Don't you know what my schedule is like ?” I yell through the phone to the caller - who is actually still unkown to me .

“ Woow!” the person at the other side of the phone says . It is him. I am sure he has that smug on his lips when he says that .

“ What do you want?” I Inquire coldly .

“ I can't really believe this. It is you who just called me and when I return the call you have the guts to ask me such a question ” he says challengely. I don't really know why he thinks he can do or say anything that he wants with me at any time that he wants.

I really nolonger interested in anything from you. You know I am not some one like you who really has nothing to do .” those words leave my mouth before I am even able to stop them.

There is a bit of silence for some time and he finally goes on to say ;

“ Have you thought about my offer ?” he asks out of the blue like actually nothing happened at all.

Damn it ! I thought I was crazy but Hunter is one crazier guy that any one would ever think of coming across and now he wants to take me on a date right now . But why exactly did you call him in the first place. My subconscious whispers to me.

I roll my eyes at her like to warn her to mind her own business at this time since I have so much that is going on in my mind at the moment.

I keep quiet for sometime wondering if to really swallow my pride and accept his offer or pretend not too.

After thinking over everything , I finally give him my answer.

“ Yes, I accept” I say hurriedly and with that, I end the call not really wanting to hear what he has to bubble around in no time.

It has been about an hour since I made the crazy decision to go on a date with Hunter . I mean I typical day like this when am supposed to work very hard to rescue my company and now i am thinking of going on a date with one random guy that I just hired to have him as my escort.

I stare at myself in the mirror for I think the tenth time to just make sure that am all set for this date . The first I think . I just didn't inform , Aimee about it . Atleast not now. I know how she can be . Atleast I keep it for another time .

I nervously pace around my living room having second thoughts about this whole date thing really . However before I can really make a final decision, my door alarm goes which startles me a bit and even gets me to panic mood. So much has happened to me today, things that are extremely strange and have never happened to me at all.

I head towards the door . However I first compose it before I finally open the door..

“ Woow!” Hunter says first thing as soon as I oown the door as he gazes me all over .

I feel tensed up. The truth is I am not used of any one complimenting me apart from my best friend.

“ Thanks ” I answer involuntarily.

I then manage to look up at him. He is dressed in blue jeans and a white t- shirt. Sincerely, he looks handsome but I am too proud to say it out to him.

“ I will get my purse and we go ” I say to him as I get back to pick my wallet that I left on one of the couches in the living room .

In just a nick on time, I am back and we begin our journey to a destination that am even not aware about . However due to curiosity and pride, I ask him the moment we get into the car.

“ Where are you taking me ?” I ask impatiently .

“ Just realx, what I Know is the fact that you are going to like it very much” he says relaxed his eyes all aimed at the road and not once even looking at me..
