I won’t deny it—training with Kat and Leo was fun. Kat is definitely a narcissistic sociopath, but Leo actually seems like a decent guy—shy, but funny. I don’t get the sense that he might try to kill me at any moment, like I do with Kat and Atlas.
But being in that castle was not fun. Being surrounded by the creatures everyone keeps telling me I’m destined to one day join up with? The ones who have probably murdered more people than I’ve even met in my lifetime, Alina’s father included?
