33. Safety Hazards

The next morning, we have a meeting in the spa sitting room.

Dipak is drinking out of a curly straw. I nearly die laughing. I laugh so hard everyone's laughing at me. I don't care. It's hilarious watching him drink out of a curly straw. I try to make him take another drink and he shakes his head. "Go sit down. I don't have much to say."

I sit between Leo and Johen.

"We left on schedule. We are in open water now. Is everyone doing ok so far? Finding food and all that? Does anyone need anything?" We shake our heads. "Good. So today, tour the boat. Look around. Check out different areas. Let us know if you find any issues with anything. Any safety issues need to be brought up immediately. We do have children on board. Keep that in mind when it comes to safety issues. Next topic. I don't know if everyone was informed, but you get a free massage of your choice today or tomorrow. You can schedule it at the desk you had to walk by to get here. Any questions?"

Mary looks up. "Can I have it done in the room or does it have to be done in here?"

"You can either pick your room, in the spa here, or down in the rooms with the glass bottom floors."

"I want to try that 1."

Elek answers, "Make sure to schedule it. The only massages being done on the glass bottom floors are the Swedish and deep tissue. Any other massage has to be done on this floor or in your room. The masks can only be done on this level. You can not do those in your rooms. They have the lists at the desk if I lost anyone."

"Are they open for purchase?"

"Yes, the spa is fully up and running. You can buy as many massages as you want. But you only get 1 free."

"Alright next thing. Egypt. We are scheduled to arrive early in the morning Tuesday. We are going to do the Nile tour. It leaves at 10am. It returns at 5. And then we will return to the castle or village."

Andy looks at Dipak. "I saw there is a theater on the boat. Can we go look at it? Or practice on it?"

Elek nods. "The schedule for the shows is posted. You can go in when nothing is scheduled and practice."

Thora sits up quickly. "The theater is functioning? Can we go watch plays now?"

"There are different things scheduled there. I think there is a play going on tonight. Tomorrow has something else. You'll have to look at the schedule."

"BRING THE SCHEDULE HERE NOW."

"Ok, what else did I have?"

"Deck movies."

"Every night after dark, a movie will play up on the deck. You can watch it from the pool or the chairs. It will start at 10. So if you want to see that, make sure you're up there by 10."

"What movie?"

"Pirate movies."

"I WANT TO DO THAT." Nadine jumps up.

"NO. YOU ARE WATCHING THE THEATER WITH ME TONIGHT."

"WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT'S PLAYING."

The brain hands Thora the schedule. She cracks up laughing. "The pirate movie made into a play."

"LET'S DO THAT NOW."

Thora nods. "It is actually playing tonight and tomorrow afternoon. Let's not miss it. Other than that, the theater schedule is empty other than a magic show every day at 2." She hands it to Andy. "We have to be in the theater tonight by 7:30."

Andy smiles. "And the play gets over at 10. We can still catch the deck movie too. We might be a few minutes late."

Thora looks at me. "We should put on another belly dancing show."

Dipak rubs his eyes.

I shake my head. "I don't think I could dance like that for an hour. End up falling asleep on the stage. And we don't have outfits for it either."

"We can do it in bikini's."

Marcus yells, "NO."

Elek and Nik crack up laughing.

Dipak shakes his head. "Dancing in a bikini counts as teasing. No teasing."

"YOU SEE NOTHING DIPAK."

"I see everything. Let's move on."

"That's it for now."

"See you all at dinner. 6pm main restaurant. Don't forget to schedule your massages if you want 1. Also, you can all use the brains for reminders. I see she's going to have issues remembering her schedule. Tell the brain what you want to do, and they will remind you 15 minutes before it starts."

Nadine tackles a brain.

Thora looks at it. "Don't remind for the movie at 10. It'll just interrupt the play. I'll remember. I won't forget."

Everyone scatters and I don't know what to do. I shop for awhile. I get some new skirts and shorts. Then I get a pretty white dress cover-up. I guess she has her own colors of stuff here. I find her jewelry store and get a necklace. It's got a stone of blue and green as a charm. It's pretty and reminds me of the colors here. It's a good souvenir.

Then I turn a corner and find a fish tank with fish I can touch in it. There's a brain right beside it. "What do I have to do?"

"These are stingrays and turtles. You can touch their backs."

30 minutes later, I've touched and petted every single one, 30 times, and I love them all.

Dipak and Leo show up.

"It's time for lunch."

I shake my head. "I haven't named them all yet."

"You have to eat lunch. Did you know there's a water park here? There's slides."

I shake a bit. I do want to do that. I glance at the fish and my eye twitches. Then I take off running.

Leo yells, "WASH YOUR HANDS."

I run back in and attack the hand wash station. Apparently, I use too much force, it shoots soap all over me. Right in my eyes. I half scream and cry. I rub my eyes and try to get it out. It hurts worse.

"That wasn't right."

"Nope."

I get in the face with water.

After a few minutes, I can keep my eyes open, but they still burn. I cry and rub them.

Dipak picks me up. I snuggle him and cry more.

"Dipak, I need this signed. What the hell happened?" It's Kane.

"Soap exploded in her eyes. We need to fix that." I get handed to Leo.

I wrap around Leo and snuggle. I reach up and twirl his hair in my fingers. I like the feel of it.

An hour later, I wake up at lunch. I hear everyone talking. But I'm warm. I open my eyas, and they don't burn as badly. I snuggle and play with his hair. I'm sleeping on Leo.

He rubs my hand and says quietly, "You need to eat something for lunch."

I pop up and smile. "Good morning."

"Good morning. Get something for lunch." He puts me in the chair beside him.

Lindsay glances at me. "That looked like a good nap. I was about to come join you."

"My eyes hurt."

Dipak winks. "Still a little pink and puffy but lots better. They feel better?"

I nod and shove a mushroom into my mouth.

"Did they figure out what happened?"

Elek nods, "The soap foams with movement. Constant movement of the water puts the soap dispensers under pressure. She touched it with the right amount of force, and it exploded in her eyes. We are redoing the soap for the handwashing stations. They are empty. Nadine put a container of regular soap at each of them for now. We're coming up with something that doesn't explode."

Once I get done eating, I go to the water park. It's not as good as Rome. But it does have slides and a river. A big pool. I play for a few hours then go up on deck. I lay in the sun chair and fall asleep again. Leo wakes me up an hour before dinner.

"You want to go check out the theater with us?"

"Yes." I jump up smiling and put my dress over my swimsuit.

We get to the theater. "Look though." I point up. There is a pirate ship up there.

"That's different. I wonder if it's part of the show tonight?" Leo looks at a brain walking by. "Is that part of the show tonight?"

"Yes. It is a battle between that ship and a ship on the stage."

My eyebrows shoot up. "It happens over the crowd?"

"Yes."

Andy nods. "Yea, we're definitely going to have to see this show."

I smile big. "I can't wait."

"Are they swinging back and forth? There are a lot of ropes up there."

"I'm never doing that." I make a run for the stage area. I get to the side and find some steps. I run up them and get caught in a rope and fall on my knee. I hold my knee crying.

Andy motions for brain. "Bring Tre and Dipak. This is a safety hazard. They can't have this on the steps. It's not safe for anyone. Let me see."

I let go of my knee and see blood run down it. I grab it again and scream. I cry so hard.

Leo squats down beside me. "You'll be ok. I know it hurts." He pulls my hand up.

Tre and Dipak check out the steps.

Dipak shakes his head. "This won't work. Summon Tye."

"Yes sir."

Tre picks me up and I wrap around him. "Did you fall and get hurt?"

I nod and snuggle him.

"Were you running?"

I cry harder and try to lunge back.

He smacks my butt. "Now stop. You're fine. Relax. Were you running and got caught in the rope?"

"Yes."

"What you need?" Tye walks around the corner. "Oh s**t. That's a mess."

"Her knee needs healed, Tye."

Tye puts his hand on my knee while Tre holds me. I feel the magic come in and it feels better.

"These stairs have to be clear. The ropes can't be laid over them."

"Yes sir."

Marcus walks around the corner. "What's going on?"

"Ropes on the stairs. She tripped and fell."

"We're going to need to walk through the whole thing before she can go back there."

Tre puts me down, and I limp over to the closest seat.

He nods. "Someone likes attention. But she's healed now."

The brains fix the steps and the boys check the stage. They say it's ok.

I sit there looking at Andy and Leo.

"Did you want to look at the stage?"

I jump up and run up the steps. I get in the center of the stage and look at the seats. There's more at our theater. But the view out is amazing because of the pirate ship. I point at it and jump up and down.

They get on the stage and look. It is so neat.

Then something cracks and down I go. I drop right through the floor, and I feel something scrape my leg all the way down. "AAAAHHHH"

I put my arms up and Leo picks me up out of the hole. I wrap around him and cry hard.

"You're alright. It scared you. It's a trap door. It's not supposed to open like that."

I move quickly so I can see down it. He nearly drops me but he adjusts me. Then I see blood on my leg again. I lunge back and scream cry.

He smacks my butt. "Calm down. You are fine."

I snuggle into him and cry.

"Bring Tye back. Tye can figure out if this gets informed or not. It's just there, it's not really a safety issue. She shouldn't have been able to open it like that though. And she busted up her leg again."

Tye fixes my leg again. "Bring Marcus and Dipak back. Is the backstage area or the stage safe for humans to be on?"

"Yes. Everything is built for humans. Her foot flipped the switch to open the trap door."

"What does this switch look like?" The trap door slams shut and all 3 of them jump. "Fuck."

"This is the switch."

"At the very least, there has to be a safety put on that."

Marcus and Dipak come on the stage. "What happened?"

"She went through the trap door. It scared her." Tye hits the switch with his foot. It swings open.

Andy nods. "It needs safety on it. She went down so fast. It's sort of safety thing. Sort of not."

Leo hoists me up a little. "Trap door shut." It slams shut so hard Marcus and Dipak jump. I cry again. "That is a safety issue though."

"Yea, it is."

Leo snuggles me. "You're ok. It was a loud noise. This 1 needs a longer nap."

"NO NAP."

"Then no pirate movie at the pool tonight."

I cry into his shoulder and twirl his hair.

"There are couches in the back. She can't keep her eyes open."
