Haunted

Emmett I walked along the castle corridors when I noticed her flaming locks disappear in the corner. I quickened my steps to get to her. I stood in the door of the library, and couldn't see her anymore, but I heard her sweet giggle. I carefully followed the noises she made and my heart filled with a warm feeling. A smile spread on my face as soon as I caught a glimpse of her dress. Berke wasn't wearing a maid dress this time. The light, white fabric twirled while she skipped away again. I kept following her until we were at two opposite sides of a huge bookshelf. She took a book out and our glance met. The first warm sunshines of this spring filled the library and illuminated her face. Her eyes sparkled like gemstones and her smile melted my heart. She didn't say a word only rushed to the right and kept giggling. This time I managed to catch her. Her laughter echoed in the empty room as I caught her by her waist and gently pinned against the side of the bookshelf. Berke looked into my eyes as I gently caressed a little piece of her wild hair out of her face. On ots way back, my hand caressed her face and my thumb rested on her bottom lip. Berke held her breath back and I couldn't hold myself back anymore. I invaded her sweet lips, which tasted like fresh cherries. I held her waist and pressed myself against her body. The same excitement rushed over me, like when I pinned her under me when she caught me off guard that night. Berke returned my kiss and her hands travelled on my chest, gently unbuttoning it. I groaned with lust and grabbed her left leg wrapping it around my waist and pulling myself even closer to her. Berke panted and her eyes told me to continue. I pulled off of her underwear while she took care of my belt. Soon I felt her skin against mine and that was the first moment she spoke. - What if we get caught? - I chuckled and positioned myself. I leaned closer to her ear and whispered. - I'm the Prince, what would happen? - I bit her earlobe and trusted into her. Berke moaned with pleasure and her body fit perfectly with mine. I couldn't get enough of her tightness and warmth. We moved in perfect sync and I hoped that moment would last forever. This was our first time. - I've waited for so long... - I said between two kisses that I laid on her neck. She wrapped her legs around my waist and arms around my neck. When we reached c****x she released her hold on me and the room slowly got darker. Berke's smiling face distorted and I saw flames behind her. - BERKE! - I screamed as I reached out to save her, but the darkness behind her grew. I smelled the smell of burning flesh and saw Berke caught in that black mass unable to move. I tried to get closer but couldn't, and I heard her scream. It almost pierced my ears. Her gorgeous skin was burning and she was being burned alive. Her eyes widened and she looked like a terrified deer. I panicked and looked around for something to extinguish the fire with or cut her free when I saw my sister behind me. - I told you to take her! You should've taken the eternal fire with you! - My eyes opened and I sat up in my bed, swimming in my own cold sweat. I started to cry and my tears didn't stop. My whole body trembled and all I could do was repeatedly say. - I'm sorry... - the door opened after a period of time which seemed like forever and Sébastien walked in. His usual cheeky grin immediately disappeared from his face when he saw my state. He rushed to me and grabbed both of my shoulders, forcing me to look into his eyes. - Emmett! What happened?! Are you hurt?! - he asked and I shook my head. - Emmett talk to me! Tell me what's wrong! - he insisted but I was too ashamed of myself. Of my desire and my sins. It would have been so good to share my burden with my best friend and brother, but it wasn't my intention to taint my family with the darkness I brought with me. I took a deep breath and smiled at Sébastien. - Everything is fine. - the door opened wider and a soft knocking called our attention. I recognized her voice. - Your Highnesses, excuse me for the interruption, but her Highness the Princess is waiting for you both at the dining room. - her cheeks were pink, eyes filled with life, the scent she brought with herself was similar to the freshly washed clothes, while they dried in the sunshine. But this gorgeous image was quickly replaced in front of my eyes with Berke burning alive screaming my name. Sébastien looked at Berke with anger. - Tell her to be patient and get lost. - Berke bowed and closed the door behind her. - Why did you do that? - I asked and my brother looked troubled. - How long? - that's all he asked and I knew everything. I was careless and he saw my thoughts. - Since I came back and saw her in the ballroom, in his arms. - my hands clenched into fists at the memory of Prince Damien holding Berke. - Emmett... That was three months ago. At least now I know why you look like a vampire. We should find someone to help. - No. This is my punishment for everything I did in the past four years. - Emmett. You saved us all, and our Empire. There is nothing to be punished for, and certainly not this cruelly. How long have you... - he wanted to ask something more but I got up and started to get ready. - You heard, Lise is waiting for us!
