My heart races and my breathing hitches as I wait for a response, each second seems like a lifetime. His eyes soften as a smile spreads across his face, the reaction setting my mind at ease ever so slightly.
“You’re killing me! Say something already!” I hide my face against his chest, completely embarrassed at blurting out those three words just like that. They were true though, I have felt this for a while, but stupidly I tried to hide from the intensity of my feelings.
