*Cora’s POV*   As I walk through the forest I allow my finger tips to trail over the damp leaves of the shrub beside me. The sun only penetrates the dense green canopy at random, sending down its rays as a beacon of light. The only sounds that I can hear are from little birds calling to their beloveds from the branches up above, and from the dried leaves crunching beneath my converse sneakers.
