Finding My Queen

Andrew POV

Getting out of the car, we were greeted by Alpha Jackson and his gamma Eddie. They seemed like the typical alpha and gamma nothing overly special that made this pack so strong. Walking into the pack house we were introduced to alpha Jacksons mother Rose. As we made our way up to his office the place seemed warm and homey. Entering his office I was smacked hard with the smell of peppermint and wood fire. Looking for the arousing smell I saw a beautiful goddess at the back of the room. “Mate” Archer screamed at me.

Alpha Jackson introduced his father John and he named this beautiful woman as his baby sister Lyla. She has a beautiful name and has the most electrifying blue eyes I have ever seen. She’s smaller then me, petit but curvy in all the right places. With long dark brown curly hair and a cute button nose. I could imagine losing myself in her eyes a beautiful lips. I can’t approach her now with all these men around, I need to get her alone.

We all sat except for my mate, we passed niceties like how is everyone going. I could see my mate deep in thought her eyes appeared slightly red. She put her hand In her pocket and all I saw was a se*y little black see-through shirt with a bra. If it wasn’t for these guys I’d eat her up, she looks like a se*y CEO, in that little outfit. And she was looking at that stupid gamma who had a grin on his face.

"She’s our mate let’s punch him," Archer growled.

I felt my own growl run through the room and no one looked at me except my mate. She looked so sad for a moment before excusing herself and leaving. All I could think about was my little mates sad eyes as she ran out of here. She is an Alpha’s daughter, those kinds of girls were prissy and over emotional. They always had a drama going on, all bark and no bite.

Luke was speaking to alpha Jackson about the packs. “Who are your pack trainers?” I knew it was time to stop worrying over Lyla.

“My father and our head warrior” Alpha John said confidently “why do you ask? Beta Luke.”

“Because you are the only pack that has not lost members during the attacks. And we had word of your teams impressive actions at Sky Moon pack”

Butting in “I have an offer for you John and you’re head warrior, I would like you both to come to the kingdom for a few weeks and help train the royal guard. We need all the strength we can get, there’s a war coming and I have a feeling you and your pack is the key to winning” both John and Alpha Jackson look at me surprised and concerned.

“I will speak to our lead warrior tomorrow, it’s getting late. Why don’t we all go down for some dinner, then we can show you to your rooms” John spoke standing and leading us to the door. He still had a look of concern on his face, it makes me wonder what is really going on in this pack. But I nodded and followed, hopefully we get some answers tomorrow.

I sighed in despair sitting down at the table we were guided to for dinner. She’s not in here, the two seats besides the old alpha John are empty. So I’m assuming my mate is with her mother, somewhere.

“Man what is wrong with you?” Luke mind linked me.

“My mate is alpha Johns little sister” with that he flicked his head at me shocked.

“Finally our Luna Queen has been found, does this mean you’ll be less of an a$$hat now?” I only growled at his comment. He began eating again “Why aren’t you happy?”

“Because she looked sad in the office, when that gamma was staring at her, and she’s not down here”

“You think there something going on between them?” Luke glanced at me and I shrugged. Dinner was over quickly and we were lead, by some omega, to our rooms. I know I’ll hardly sleep tonight, but I showered and got into bed anyways.

Lyla POV

“What’s wrong, sweaty?” Rose’s voice was so comforting but I just kept crying.

After another 30 minutes I finally got the courage to look at her “the alpha king is my mate, and it’s not fair” saying the words out loud made me sob harder and bury myself again.

She rubbed my back and whispered kind words to me “it’ll be ok, the moon goddess knows what she’s doing. Have faith sweaty, I know it’s hard, with your past but I know he will love you and never harm you.”

“How can you be so sure? It has to be a mistake. His grandfather slaughtered my family and my people. What if he finds out what I am, and decides to kill me too? How am I ever meant to accept him? I’ve grown up hating him, knowing that he would be just like the rest if his family.”

She placed her hands on either side of my face “Wow, slow down sweaty, stop panicking. The goddess has never made a mistake before. You don’t know that he is like his grandfather, he won’t care what you are. I am sure he won’t hurt you, you’re mates and have been since the day you were both born. You will come to care for him, maybe just try and get to know him.”

I still have my doubts but Rose has always seen the positive side of everything. She let me cry and vent and kept trying to give me positive words. She had dinner brought up to her room, for us. Then we curled up together on the couch and watched a movie, like when I was younger.

When Rose fell asleep, I covered her in a blanket and kissed her cheek. I made my way back to my room and showered, laying in bed I couldn’t stop thinking of Andrew. How am I supposed to love a man, when we have such a terrible family history.

“I can feel that you care for him, but I can also feel your heart break over him” Lilith said warming my chest with her heat.

“How do you feel about him?”

“I feel love for him because of the bond, I also feel suspicious of what the future may hold for us. But Rose is right, he may be good for us and he may be everything we need in a mate.”

“And if he decides to reject or kill us for what we are?” I question.

“I am your other half, a rejection will hurt but we will always be together, little one. And if he decides to kill us then we flee. He is out mate and it will hurt if he tries to kill us, but we will never be able to hurt him.”

“So what do we do now?”

Lilith hums thinking for a moment, “don’t tell him what we are. Just stay back and watch what kind of man he is first. Then when you believe he is ready tell him.”

With Lilith radiating heat through my body I fall asleep tossing throughout the night.

I know tomorrow will be hard, but we also have a party on tomorrow. Maybe I can learn more about him, by taking Lilith's advice, standing back and watching him. I also need to figure out why he is here, what does he want from our pack.
