Everest’s P.O.V I lean back in my seat and watch the restroom door. We’re sitting in the restaurant, me and Ben. Avery was dazed out a few seconds ago before she went to the restroom. It was weird; I ordered her food and she zoned out for a minute with a distant look in her normally bright eyes and running from the table. It’s now been almost five minutes and she hasn’t come out again. I didn’t grow up with a mother figure, and Julie and I never went out to eat like this, so I don’t know how long women take in there.
