Chapter 3: Infatuated

THE next day, I went to school an hour earlier than my first class. I had to pass by the library to do some research. There weren’t a lot of people in the computer station so I didn’t have anyone right next to me.

I was so engrossed in what I was doing that I didn’t notice anyone taking a seat right next to me. I gasped as someone whispered in my ear “Hello baby doll.”

As I turned my face, I was surprised to find Leonard’s handsome face only a few inches away from me. We were almost kissing. I should have moved away, but I was frozen in place.

I saw him looking at my eyes and then at my lips. He was moving slowly towards me when we were both surprised by a chair moving nearby. I looked straight ahead so we are not facing each other anymore. I tried to continue what I was doing but I could feel Leonard behind me. He moved his chair closer to me and I could feel his hand touching my leg. I was wearing pants but I could feel his large hands on me.

I turned slightly as I asked “Uhm, why are you here?”

Leonard: “I have some time to kill. Thankfully, I came here and saw you, baby girl.”

Aubrey: “Look around. I’m sure you can find someone else you know.”

Leonard: “But I found exactly who I was looking for.”

Aubrey: “Why are you looking for me?”

Leonard: “I want to continue what we started yesterday.”

Aubrey: “What did we do yesterday?”

Leonard: “Do you want me to remind you?”

Before I got the chance to respond, Leonard gave me a peck on the cheek. I froze once more and I’m sure I’ve already turned red from blushing.

Leonard: “Oh baby doll, you’re so cute when you blush.”

Aubrey: “Can you stop doing that?”

Leonard: “Stop doing what, baby doll?”

Leonard then moved closer to me and I could feel his breath on my neck.

Aubrey: “Uhm, people can see. Stop that.”

Leonard: “Why, baby doll? Does this bother you?”

I felt Leonard place a kiss on my neck. I don’t even know how he did it. I inadvertently let out a soft moan.

Leonard: “Looks like you’re enjoying this. Do you want to get out here? We can go to my condo and continue this.”

I suddenly stood up as I felt goosebumps all over my body. I took my stuff and walked out of the library. What just happened?

As I walked out, I was breathing in and out of the library. I stopped at a bench outside of the library to put my stuff inside my bag. I just picked them up earlier since I was in a hurry to get out of there.

I wonder what Leonard is doing. Why is he suddenly kissing me and paying so much attention to me? I touched my cheek and neck that he kissed and I couldn’t help but smile.

I am getting worried that I might not be able to resist him any longer if he keeps coming at me. I am already infatuated with this man and I don’t want to fall harder than I already have.

I looked for my phone to check what time it is. Wherever I look for it I can’t seem to find it, though. I gasped as I realized that I put my phone in front of the computer monitor earlier. I must have forgotten to pick it up earlier since I was in such a hurry to leave.

I didn’t want to be late for my class so I decided I’ll just get it later before I start my duty at the library later. Hopefully, somebody found it and turned it over to lost and found. It’s a pretty cheap phone, so I don’t think anyone would have any interest in it.

As I calmed down a bit, I made my way towards the classroom. I suddenly remembered that Leonard is one of my classmates in this class. As I reached the classroom, I froze once more as I saw the same man I was trying to avoid leaning against the wall next to the classroom door.

I stopped and gathered up courage before walking into the classroom. I really need to get to class. Before I got inside though, Leonard put his hand up and blocked me from going inside.

Aubrey: “Can you please move?”

Leonard: “Okay.”

I was surprised as he moved away and let me go inside the classroom. I took my seat near the front where I usually sit and I was surprised when Leonard told the person who sat next to me to move and took his seat.

I looked at him momentarily before looking to the front. I was praying that the professor would arrive early so Leonard would not be able to bother me.

I gasped as I saw Leonard holding my phone. He seems to be navigating it.

Aubrey: “Is that my phone? Give it back!”

Leonard: “I’m not done with it yet. I like this picture. Do you have anything dirty?”

Aubrey: “No I don’t. Give it back, please.”

Leonard: “Do you really want your phone back?”

Aubrey: “Of course.”

Leonard: “You have to do something for me first.”

Aubrey: “What do I need to do?”

Leonard: “Meet me at the library later.”

I was going to ask him more questions and try to convince him to give me my phone now when the professor arrived. Talk about bad timing.

I tried my best to focus in class but I could not, knowing that Leonard is sitting right next to me, and that I am supposed to meet him later at the library to get my phone back.

I thought about it, and I definitely need to get my phone back. I couldn’t afford to buy a new phone, and I can’t be reachable since I am usually out of the house. What if something happens to my mom?

The professor ended the class 15 minutes early. I was going to beg Leonard to give my phone back but he stood up and left the classroom right away. Before he did, he handed me a note. I opened it and he wrote the time and the place where we’re supposed to meet.

I let out a sigh as I put my stuff in my bag. I was about to stand up when I saw three girls stand in front of me. I noticed that the girl in the middle was the same girl who had her arms all over Leonard when they were at the fast food chain.

I lifted both brows as I asked “Yes? What can I do for you?”

Slinky Armed Woman: “What are you doing sitting next to Leonard, and why were you flirting with my boyfriend?”

Aubrey: “You should ask him. I sat first and he’s the one who sat next to me. I wasn’t flirting with him. I was actually ignoring him but he kept bothering me.”

Slinky Armed Woman: “Stay away from him, you hear?”

Aubrey: “Tell your boyfriend that. He’s the one who keeps coming on to me.”

I stood up and shoved him slightly out of the way. Before I walked out of the room, I turned around and said “I wonder. If he’s your boyfriend, how come he didn’t sit next to you?”

I didn’t wait for them to talk back and just walked towards my next class. I was shaking my head as I regretted talking back to those girls. As much as possible, I didn’t want to get into anyone’s bad side. I don’t know what took over me, though. Maybe I was a little jealous when she said that Leonard is her boyfriend.

For my next two classes, I was a little distracted. I am anticipating the meetup with Leonard later. I wonder what he’s going to ask me to do. I was hoping that he’ll just ask me to help him with an assignment or something. I wouldn’t mind doing that.

As my last class ended, I only had a few minutes left to go to the library and meet Leonard. I ran and was catching my breath as I arrived. I calmed myself down a bit before I made myself into the library.

On his note, Leonard didn’t specifically say where in the library we’re supposed to meet. I looked around the tables to check if he was there. When I didn’t find him, I made my way to the stack of books. Maybe he’s checking out some books.

I almost gasped as I got pulled into one of the rows of bookshelves. I almost screamed but a hand went into my mouth. The owner of the hand talked and said “Relax, baby doll. It’s me.”

As he took his hand off my mouth, I said “What are you doing?”

I noticed that he had me pinned against the wall and that his body was pressed against me. I could feel something hard pushing against my belly.

Aubrey: “Uhm, can you get off--”

Before I could finish my sentence, Leonard covered my lips with his and started kissing me. I was surprised but felt the pleasure as he started sucking my lips. I could feel his hands on my waist as he kept pushing his hardness on me.

I heard him say “Open your mouth, baby doll,” and I did immediately. I felt his tongue enter my mouth. It’s like he’s eating me but I don’t mind it.

When he moved away from me, he said “Do you want me to stop, baby doll?”

I don’t know what took over me when I shook my head. All I know is that I want to keep kissing him.

As Leonard resumed kissing me, I responded by kissing him back. I didn’t even think about what would happen if someone catches us kissing inside the library, I must be out of my mind.
