Drake's POV
The moment the front doors parted; mom hugged me. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist and lifted her up then spun us around. She tapped my back and I pulled away. She cupped my cheeks, and I looked down at her. Her eyes were bright with joy.
“You grew so tall within months,” she said, and I could swear there were tears in her eyes before she looked to my side, probably at Paul. “Oh, my baby.”
She moved aside and she brushed past me to Paul. I turned around and saw her hugging him. I smiled and walked into the house. Every time I came home, the house always looked new to me. It made me always remember that I grew up with a silver spoon in my mouth. As big as it was, it always felt small because of my parents.
As I neared the living room, dad stepped out from the kitchen on the other side of the room. He saw me and beamed. I went to the other side of the room and hugged him for a few seconds.
“How are you?” He asked after pulling away.
I eyed him up and down. Him and mom were still the same. There was barely any difference, except for the fact that they looked more mature. I was now the same height as he was, and his physique was still fit like it was when I was younger.
“I’m great, dad,” I answered, and I heard mom and Paul’s voices as they walked into the house.
“Pops!” Paul said in glee and ran over to us and hugged him.
I chuckled and made my way to mom then kissed her cheek.
“How are you, mom?” I asked and she grinned.
“I have been fine, but I am better now that my boys are back.” She pinched my cheek, making me groan.
“Mom,” I drawled in playful annoyance, and she released my cheek. I pouted down at her, and she poked her tongue out at me.
“Your sister's busy with something, I think,” I heard dad say.
I turned my attention toward dad and Paul and saw Paul already in front of the stairs. I hugged mom for a few seconds and started to follow Paul up the stairs.
As we climbed the rest of the steps, we took our left and made our way through the wide hallways. I looked at the walls that had paintings of us and our parents when they were younger. I looked forward and saw Paul stopping in front of the elevator. He pushed the button to call for it and after a few seconds, the doors opened, and a squeal filled the hallway.
I looked past Paul and beamed at the sight of my best friend. Paul stepped aside and I opened my arms and bent low to her height. She squealed and ran up to me then climbed up and wrapped her legs around me. I laughed and wrapped my arms around her waist, hugging her tightly.
“I missed you so much!” She said in my neck, and I rubbed her back. I placed my face in the crook of her neck and inhaled her sweet scent that I loved so much.
I missed her so f*****g much. It has been two years since I last saw her physically and my, had she grown because she felt different in my arms.
“No hugs for me, Lana?” Paul asked and I playfully glared at him.
Lana giggled and I dropped her when she wiggled her body. She turned around and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. I watched as he wrapped his arms around her lower waist and lifted her up, then turned around making her cry out in joy. He stopped and made her place her feet back on the floor. They continued to hug, and I rolled my eyes at them before grabbing her arm and pulling her to me. I wrapped my arm around her hip and pulled her close then looked down at her.
Lana had grown. She was no longer looking like her nineteen-year-old self but now a woman in her twenties. Her long brunette hair now reached and brushed her shoulders. Her hazel doe eyes were still the same and her pouty lips were now stretched into a wide smile as she stared up at me. My hand that was on her hip made me feel the difference in curve and wideness. If Lana had been any other woman like the type I took home with me, she would have been in my bed since forever. She was looking sexy, and it was weird seeing her this way since I saw her as another sister of mine.
“How have you been, Lana?” Paul asked, breaking my dazed state.
She looked back at him and smiled wider before I glanced at my brother. Paul had told me once how pretty she was, that was two years ago and how he had a tiny attraction toward her, but it stopped when he left for school. I was sure his tiny attraction stopped.
“I’ve been fine. Enough of all that, I am so happy you guys are back!”
“More like you’re happy that he is back. Since I don’t have a best friend to miss me, I better head to my room now.” Paul let out a dramatic sigh and pushed the button by the elevator.
We both chuckled as the doors slid open and he walked in. He placed his hand on his chest and sighed dramatically again. The doors started to close, and I gave him a middle finger. Once it closed, Lana jumped in front of me and crossed her arms.
Ever since her mother started working for my parents as the head of sanitation in the mansion, years ago, I have kept that look stored in my head— I was in trouble.
“What?” I asked cautiously.
“Really?” She asked and I swallowed. “Drake Aaron Hamilton.”
“Yes, ma’am,” I replied, and she narrowed her eyes.
“You stopped picking my calls, responding to my text, or even calling me for over three months.”
I was in so much trouble. s**t.
“Lana,” I said and took a step back when she took one step forward. “I can explain.”
“Start talking,” she said, and I nodded.
“My phone fell out of my hand and into the sea when I went to a cruise ship party hosted by my tennis team. After that week, I purposely did not buy a new phone or get a new sim to retrieve the info on it. I had exams and was on my usual study lockdown, then after that, I totally forgot to contact you.”
I stepped forward and uncrossed her arms then held her hands. I lifted her right hand to my lips and kissed her knuckle while staring into her eyes.
“You can punish me however you like. I am so sorry for not contacting you. Will you forgive me?”
I put on my pleading face she could never say no to and waited. She frowned deeper and rolled her eyes.
“I’ll do anything for you,” I said, and she smirked. Wrong words. I could already tell it was not going to be good.
“Really?” She asked with a cunning tone in her voice.
I hesitantly nodded and she chuckled.
“I will tell you later then and until you do it, you are not forgiven.”
I groaned and she made a move to walk away but the sound of footsteps made her stop. I looked past her to the direction she was looking at and smiled. My baby sister was standing far away with a grin on her face.
“Zoey,” I said happily, and she looked at Lana.
“Aw, finally you’ve seen the love of your life.”
My eyes widened at what she had said. This was new and confusing. What did she mean by what she had just said?
“What?” I asked and Lana visibly gulped.
