“MOMMY!”, Rati shouted, running into the room.
“RATI!”, I yelled, trying to get out of the bed to hug her. But Gar stopped me.
“Mom, I am so glad you are alive. I thought I lost you. I could not bear another loss today”, she said, and I was confused about what others lost. Then it hit me that James was dead.
"Baby, is James dead?”, I asked, hearing a growl come from my mate and another man in the room.
“No mom, he is alive and is here somewhere. I was pregnant by James and lost the pups”, she said, starting to cry.
“Shh, do not cry baby, it's okay. The Moon Goddess will bless you with much more, especially when you find your mate”, I said, and she stilled.
