Michael POV:

           Pissed off is an understatement. The moment he told her they are each other's second chance mate, Eos tried to push forward. This woman has some luck having a first and second chance mate at the same time. Her being blessed by the Moon Goddess this way only makes me want her more. Watching them, let alone seeing them together, makes me want to rip his f*****g head off.

                        “We can kill him and be done with it”, Eos said.

                        “Why the hell didn’t I think about that”, he said with a laugh.

                        “Because I am the smart one”, he said with pride, wagging his tail.

“Well, to solve OUR problem I will just kill him and be done with it”, I say, as I feel Eos wanting out and want out now.

            “YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HIM!”, she yelled in my face. I am sure she can see my eye color change and she is not scared. She is ready to go to war with me over him.

            “Give me one good reason why I should not kill him”, I demanded  while clenching my fist.

            Because if you do not, I will submit and be your mate and Luna”, she whispered. That word SUBMIT made Eos perk up.

            “WHAT NO!..... BABY DON’T DO THIS, I CAN CHALLENGE HIM FOR YOU ONCE I AM FULLY HEALED”, James screamed, trying to get out of the silver chains I ordered in him.

            “Ha….ha…you can try and die”, I  laughed at his response.

“Listen here, pup, give me a month and I will kick your ass”, James yelled.

            “Pup?....you are the pup. I am much older than you”, I said with a smirk. I look young for my actual age. I never let anyone know my real age.

            “Please give us a minute”, I asked with pleading eyes.

            “Sure I will be right outside the door”, and he left.

I left in an attempt to give them some privacy. However, Eos had another idea. He started listening to their conversation. It unsettled us both that she is alone with him. The way she looks at him with so much love. I can’t wait until she looks at me that way. I lean against the wall and listen. It sickens me how much they love each other; I actually think she loves him more once she found out they are each other’s second chance mate.

            “Baby don’t do this, we can figure something out”, James pleads with her, so pathetic.

            “James, there is no other way. There is hope for us as long as you are alive”, she says. Yeah right, I will make sure she never sees him again.

            “Honestly, I would rather die than live with knowing that you are with him as his Luna. You know as soon as your ceremony is over he is going to put pups in you to keep us apart”. At least he knows I plan on having pups with her.

            “I won’t….I won’t have any pups with him. I will make sure of it”, she says, and the tone in her voice tells me she isn’t f*****g around and I am getting pissed off by the second.

            “You can't control that either you have his pups willingly or he will make you. Once he marks you, you might want to have his pups”, James said he is worried and he should be.

            “I learned a lot during my training in the harem. Ever wonder why none of the women had pups”, she laughs. There is no way in hell she is going to keep us from having pups.

            “I just thought the men were using protection or withdrawing”, James said. He so dumps how can an Alpha not know what is going on under his own roof.

            “No silly, none of them ever used protection or withdrawal”, she said, still laughing, f*****g gross.

            “Then go with him. Never forget about me”, James said.

            “Who can ever forget their first and only love and, besides, as Luna, I can protect you. I doubt he will bring you with us, and if you are left here, you will be under guard”, she sounds so sure of herself.

As I continued to listen to their conversation, I came up with a plan to keep my eyes on both of them. While in thought, I got a mind link from my hospital. The woman I found in the wood is now stable and should be partially healed and able to talk when I return. I mind link Gar as my Beta. He would advise me on what to do with Alpha James. And of course, he wants me to kill the Alpha, which I usually would do, but this situation is different. Looking at my watch, ten minutes had passed and that is long enough for them. I walked into the room and found them kissing. I lost it. I snatched her from his slips and punched him in his face. Once I got my s**t together, I decided to let them both know my decision.

            “Here is what is going to happen. We will have our matting ceremony during the next full moon. As for James, you are no longer an Alpha”, I said to them both.

            “No s**t”, he said. I smirked at his response.

            “James, you are coming with us to my back. No need to pack anything. All of your clothing etc. will be donated to my pack. From this day forth you will be an Omega. Your job in my pack will be decided once we get there”, the shock on both of their faces is priceless.

            “You are an asshole”, James said.

            “That Alpha to you, Omega. Learn your place or I will have you whipped”, I said with a smirk.

            “When is the next full moon?”, Rati asked with her head down.

            “In two weeks, my love”, I said as I lifted her chin with my finger.

            “I need to find my mom's body and pack my stuff”, she whispers her sorrow and pain. Me and Eos, but we can't show it in front of James.

            “Packing won’t be necessary. I will not allow my Luna to wear anything another man brought her. As for your mother, we will go now to find her body”, I said in a commanding tone.

I mind link Gar telling him to meet us outside the hospital. He was waiting for us when we left. We quietly followed Rati to where she said she left her mother. Gar and I were in shock to see her take us to the same place we found a woman barely alive. We looked at each other as the puzzle pieces came into place. Rati's mom is the woman we found is Gar's mate. That’s why I wanted to help the woman and why Gar wanted to protect Rati and his wolf, called Rati family. Her panic cries bring us out of our thoughts. I have to tell her something to calm her down.

       “We can’t tell her what we figured out. I want to wait until we get back home”, I said via mind link to Gar.

          “Why does she need to know her mother is alive? Mike looked at her. She is freaking out”, Gar said.                                   

“I know but we can tell her about you being her mother's mate not until her mother sees you and knows herself”, I said.

   “So, you know, this makes you my son-in-law”, he said with a laugh.

            “Rati, your mom is safe. She is at my pack hospital”, I said as I hold her as she cried.

            “What are you talking about”, she says as I hold her tighter. She feels and smells like heaven.

            “I found a woman in the woods at this same spot. I had no idea she was your mother. I sent her to my pack hospital due to her critical condition.”, I said.

Once she calmed down, I had some Omegas pack up my stuff and tent. I, Gar, and Rati got into my truck and he drove off. I know as soon as she gets to my pack, she wants to see her mom. I mind link the housekeeping staff to prepare the guest rooms on the Alpha floor.
