When Rebh stepped forward and wrapped his arm around my shoulder, for the first time it felt like I wasn’t alone. I laid my head on his shoulder and let his warmth seep my shivering bones. I could feel Z content at the small act and if I wasn’t lying to myself so was I.
But the moment lasted for just a little when I was startled by Sky's screech, signaling he was here. I jumped a little but Rebh held me close whispering sweet nothings in my ear.
“Don’t worry, Applepie, we’ll figure it out… together.” He said as his warm breath fanned my ear and I sighed in response.
