With a hesitant look on my face I continue walking towards Margaret.
“Hey Marg, it’s me” I said as I reach her
“Stay away” She threatened
Her voice is so cold that it made me feel goose bumps. I take several steps away and lower my hand. I lower down a bit to get a glimpse of her face. I was about to have a peek but she looked at me with cold dead eyes. I was petrified at the same time confused.
“Look out” Someone shouted
I look up and say a huge tendril about to crush me luckily someone pulled me out of there. I was able to move my head and saw a human dragon hybrid carrying me. He gently lowers me down then said
“Be more careful next time okay” with a calm tone
“How about I handle this. Looks like your plan didn’t turn out as you expected” the dragonoid said
“Prefect wait! Maybe there’s another way”
“I know Ramon can do it. Just give us more time!” Alexandra bargains as she arm wrestles’ Margaret’s spirit gate monster
She then looks at me with pitiful eyes then said
“Ramon we really need your help you are the only one capable of stopping such power”
“Please I am begging you save my sister”
“But I don’t know how” I said
“Don’t force this mess to the kid De Villa” the dragonoid said then he walks towards Margaret
“Sir Draco please don’t” Alexandra shouted but she was just ignored
“Ramon please. I am begging you” Alexandra said
I am getting frustrated and my mind is not capable of thinking properly anymore. I was just there standing and waiting for what happens next. Fire spirits then pop out everywhere surrounding Margaret.
“I’ll look away if I were you kid” the dryad said
“Why? What is going to happen?” I ask
Then the fire spirits transform into double edge swords pointing all directly at Margaret.
“Quit it! Now!” Alexandra shouted then her gate fully opens
“Maccapuno would you please restrain her too” Draco ordered
The dryad’s gate also fully opens his gate then a treant or a giant tree monster comes out. It holds Alexandra tight somehow crushing her a bit. She became too weak to restrain Margaret’s gate monster so it managed to cut loose. It went rogue and came after Draco
:”Look out!” I shouted but I was too late the hands already got close and it’s impossible to dodge at that rate. The floor was somehow pulverized and scatter all over the place lowering down the visibility
I can only see the light coming from the fire spirits. Then I felt something touch my feet. I looked down and saw several undeads dragging me down. I got terrified then I noticed Alexandra looking at me with a greedy look on her face. Then a symbol flashes in her eyes and I am dragged in. When I opened my eyes I was beside Margaret. I then notice Draco defending himself from Margaret’s giant spirit arms. I felt relieve seeing him alive for a minute there I thought he was a goner
“What are you doing here?”
“ Didn’t I tell you to get out of here?” Margaret said
“First tell me what’s happening?” I ask but she remains silent
Then there is a loud thud followed by a shout coming from Alexandra. We both looked at it and we saw the wood like hands had been cut off. With a flap of Draco’s wings the dust was blown towards us. I quickly close my eyes and cover it with my arm. I covered Margaret’s eyes too just in case something enters her eyes
Then it becomes warmer all of a sudden and the heat increases every succeeding second. I took a quick peek and I saw blades of fire are coming straight for us
“Oh Crap!” I reacted
I tried looking for cover but we are completely surrounded. I close my eyes and accept my doomed fate. Several seconds later nothing happened. I open my eyes and saw countless undead blocking all the blades for us
“Now is the time for us to run” I said to Margaret but she just ignores me
I tug the prickly vines so she can slide off but its thorns just punctured my hand and it won’t stop bleeding. Because of my carelessness the thorns also pierced deep in Margaret’s body. Weird, I can clearly see my hand covered in blood but I don’t feel anything like it's totally numb.
“Why are you just staring at it! Seal it immediately!” Margaret shouts at me
“That wound will kill you if you don’t tend to it immediately” She informed
“I am fine, I don’t feel anything and it’s just a small cut. What bad can it do?” I stubbornly said
“Moron! These vines are silent killers. It secretes mana that makes everything that touches them deprived of sensation. If you’re caught in it’s thorns without noticing it, You’ll bleed to death” Margaret said
I reap my uniform off and tie its portion to my wound so it would lessen the bleeding
“What the f**k are you doing?” She shouted
“I am applying first aid to my cut” I said
“That won’t do dumbass. Go find Prof Gyson he knows what to do” Margaret said
I quickly went on my way without a care to my surroundings. Blades of fire and undead are popping out of nowhere but nothing landed on me. I can see Sir Maccapuno but Sir Draco picks me up
“Let go of me!” I said as I struggle to cut loose
“Disobedience is a major offense you know. Didn’t I told you that I’ll handle this”
“What I meant by I’ll handle this is I am going to do this alone which means you’re not included”
“You should be punish for that” Draco said
He then starts chanting then several fire spirits forms in front of me
“De Villa’s spirits won’t reach you now” he said
“But I don’t need her spirits” I said then my eyes turned blue and a white mark pops out in the center
The fire spirits start to calm down and the rest of the spirits loosen up as well.
Draco lifts me up to a level that our eyes meet
“Those eyes. What in the world are you?” He said
“I am the way, the truth, and the life and who ever bows down to me shall not perish but will have eternal life” I unconsciously said
“Those words!” Draco seems to remember something
He lowers down and gently place me back to the ground
“Tell me your lineage kid” He raised his voice at me as he squeezes my shoulders
“Can we talk later? You see I have a wound that won’t stop bleeding”
“I’ve lost a large amount of blood now and I am starting to feel dizzy” I said
I walk towards Maccapuno but my body has given up on me. I dropped to the ground and lost consciousness. By the time I woke up I was in the university infirmary. I shift my sight to different directions, looking like nobody's around. I slowly get up to avoid making unnecessary noises. I crouched down and took a peek in the space between the curtains and the floor and I saw Elena talking to Draco.
“What kind of being did you bring here Paterson?”
“I never seen such mythical eyes before”
“Who is that kid?” Draco said
“You know that I won’t answer that,right? That’s against my prohibition” Elena said
“Oh dear, oh dear. I wonder what precautions will the board make if they knew about this juicy information” Draca threatens
“You can threaten me all you want but sad to say the board already knew of his existence coz that kid your referring to is going to reform this school from it’s twisted policies” Elena boast
“And how is he going to do that? By the looks of it that kid doesn’t even have talent”
“Pathetic” Draco said
Harsh but I can’t blame him he doesn’t know me yet and people always jump to conclusions
“That kid might look different but his merits says it all” Elena defended me
“Like what?” Draco asked
I was about to step in and speak up then Elena shifts her gaze at me. Her eyes are telling me not to so I restrain myself from coming out
“I think we are done here” Elena said then she exits the room
“Paterson, wait!” Draco then he follows her out
I sneak outside but the moment I step out the curtains someone spoke beside me
“And where do you think you’re going?” Alexandra threatens
“Sup kid” Gyson said as he shortly raises his hand
I feel weirded out so I head back to my bed but Alexandra pulls my pants and forces me to sit beside her.
“Just what in the world are you?” Alexandra curiously ask
