“Wait how about dinner at my place” I shouted
She just raised her hand and gave me a thumbs up. I hurried and catch up to her so I walk beside her
“So what do you want for dinner?” I said
“Anything will do” She said in a shy manner
“So what class are you in?” I ask
“I don’t know yet. I just transferred here” She said
“But you know the floor you’re at is for only the top ranking students right?” I said
“Oh? I only got that room because they handed me the keys”
“Looks like there aren’t any more available rooms” She said
“Maybe this chick is not only beauty but she also has brains”
“I should know more about her” thoughts inside my head
“I haven’t asked for your name yet”
“Care to tell me” I ask
“Thalia Gabi” She said
“Nice to meet you Thalia”
“I know you already know me but I am still going to say it for formalities”
“Ramon Paloma” I said as I offer my hand for a handshake
As soon as she grabs my hand I pull her right straight to me then hug her really tight
“Ramon, what are you doing?” She ask
“Just a little bit longer please”
“I just really want to hug someone right now” I said
I hug her tighter then after several seconds I let go
“Thanks”
“That really hits the spot” I said as stretch my arms upward
“Silly!” She said in a teasing manner then sticks her tongue out
I give her a smile because she looks so adorable. Kinda reminds me off Skylia
We arrive at my room and I offer a seat then I immediately get to work. I don’t want her to wait. Several minutes later she went to the kitchen and looked at what I was doing. She washes her hands then grabs a knife
“So what are we preparing?” She ask as she ties her hair like a ball
“Chicken Stew” I said
She picks up the knife then grabs the lettuce and starts slicing it. She’s good as if she’s trained or something. Instead of preparing the ingredients I just look at her.
“Deym, she’s good” I think out loud
“Well thank you. I’ve been practicing” She said with a joyful look on her face
I felt shy all of a sudden. I can’t believe that I just said that. Stupid stupid. After all the necessary preparation I began cooking and still she didn’t leave my side. She closely watches as I mix all the ingredients.
“That should be it” I said then I start preparing the table
While I was preparing she took the ladle and take a sip of the stew
“So how does it taste?” I ask
“Delicious” She said making a goodshit sign
After several minutes I serve the stew together with warm rice. We dig in and keep the conversation rolling. I asked several personal questions about her and she did the same the night was still young so I insisted she stay for a while. I don’t know why but her presence makes me feel at ease. I open the balcony door and check outside. It’s a bit dusty so I went to the kitchen to grab a wet rug and wipe it off
“You can come in now!” I shouted
“So this is what the balcony looks like”
“Mine is lock so I can’t get in” She said as she look all over the place
“Want me to ask the staff to open it for you?” I offered
“I would love that”
“Thank you Ramon” She cheerfully said
I sat down on the hammock and offered to sit by my side. She was hesitant at first but she sat down beside me. Upon sitting I got unbalanced so I fell right straight at her. Our face was so close that I was almost about to kiss her. It then feels so hot all of a sudden. I want to get up immediately but the posture I have is to straining
“Sorry Thalia but can you tilt your head a side my back kinda hurts and I think I am about to collapse any second from now” I said with a force smile on my face
She moves her head aside then I release all strain in my body making me collapse on her. I quickly roll over and drop on the floor. I also apologize during the process
“f**k!!!” I shouted inside my head thinking how close our face were
I quickly cover my face out of shame and I am flustered after what just happen
“What is happening to you Ramon!”
“Don’t get caught up, you just met her! You can’t just attach yourself to a random person that’d be risky and you know what happened the last time you got attach”
“Better know her first before you make your move” Thoughts inside my head
I take several deep breaths to calm myself down and the moment I remove my hands off my face she was sitting in front of me
“Are you alright?” She concernly ask
“No!” I answered
“You see it kinda hurt” I said
“Yes I know” She said
“I don’t know why I am feeling this way” I said
“Because you fell” She said
“You think so?” I ask
“I saw it with my own two eyes Ramon”
“You don’t need to feel sorry”
“If it really hurts you should take a rest instead I’ll just head to my room” She said then she stands up
“Don’t leave me!”
“Please stay, I think you’re special to me” I confessed
“Huh?” She reacted with a weirded out expression on her face
“What are you saying Ramon?” She weirdly ask
“Look I am just concern about you falling from the hammock”
“How did I become special all of a sudden” She said with a smile on her face
She offers me her hand and help me stand up
“Look Ramon, I know you’re a very decent person but I am not the one for you okay”
“We can still be friends thou” She said
“Friends?” She ask as she offers her hand
I took a deep breath then I shake her hand
“Friends”
“See you tomorrow then” She said then takes her leave
I waited for her to exit the balcony before I took my seat on the hammock. I clench my hair because I feel frustrated all of a sudden
“Why am I acting like this?” I said to myself
I lay down for a bit and stared at the sky.
“Even the sky is inline with my thoughts”
“Dark and empty”
“Maybe love is not cut out for me”
“Who wants someone that comes from the forsaken realm?” I said to myself
I continue to invalidate myself because of what happened but I think I’ll get over it tomorrow. When I had enough whining I went to my bed then take my rest
Morning and I am ready for school. I don’t know when they will announce the newly elected president but I’m not excited or anything, in fact I don’t care anymore. I feel unmotivated today. I grabbed my things then went on my way. On my way to the elevator Thalia’s door then opens but I just walk pass by it
“Good morning Ramon” Thalia greeted
“Morning” I said as I continue walking
I opened the elevator and quickly closed the door as soon as I entered. I thought she caught up but looks like she’s waiting for someone because she stopped halfway in the hallway
I arrive at the school early because the twins aren’t in their regular post yet. I head to my room and only a few classmates were there
“Ramon good luck in the election” They cheered
“Thanks” I reacted with a huge smile on my face
I went to my seat and just bowed my head. I don’t feel like talking to someone today. I just want to be alone right now and think about what happened yesterday. I really hate this kind of feeling. I don’t know how long I have bowed my head but I heard Ms. De Villa greeted everybody. Looks like it is time for homeroom.
“Okay class I would like you to meet the newest member of this class” Ms. De Villa announce the entire room
“Hi everyone my name is Thalia Gabi Bathala”
“Nice to meet you all” a lady said
I immediately took a look and I confirmed it was her.
“So she’s related to Skyllia I,see” a thought inside my head
Everyone was amazed at how she looks but I can’t blame them. She really looks stunning in our school uniform. The boys eagerly requested for Thalia to sit beside them but I didn’t bother. What’s the point? She doesn’t need me anyways. It is better that way. Never again I am going to involve myself
