“Just speak up already” I said as I tend the injured
“Mama wants to speak with you” Alice said
“Mama? You mean Margaret, right?” I ask
“Yes” She said as she nods
“I’ll meet you at the auditorium’s entrance after class hours”
“You’ll be attending the transfer ceremony, correct?” I said
“Okay see you then” She said then immediately takes her leave
“Hold right up missy!”
“You wreck the place and you better patch things up”
“If you don’t follow my commands I won’t meet up with Marg” I threatened
With a dismayed look on her face she just follow what I instructed her
“Who’s a good girl” I teased
After all the injured are sent to the clinic Alice went on her way. Several tables and chairs were destroyed but our classmate managed to fix it.
I approach the twins and ask them
“Hey guys I know this is sudden but can you be part of my student council committee?” I sincerely ask
“I was hoping you two could be my treasurer and auditor, sound good?” I said
The twin cuddle and started discussing between themselves
“You can give me your answer until after class hours”
“Well I leave you to it” I said as I head to my seat
On my way I heard my classmates murmuring about me asking the twins to be part of the committee and some comments were rather disturbing. They are saying that the twins don’t fit in the council because they lack the aptitude for it but for me they practically suit the job. They know how to budget money and where to properly spend them.
Several hours passed and our last subject professor finally dismissed us. I was about to approach the twins but our new adviser arrived and ordered us to fall in line. Looks like we are heading to the auditorium for the transfer ceremony.
I asked the professor that I should go ahead of time so I can prepare and he gave me permission to leave. As was one step away from exiting the room then the twins shouted
“Ramon we will gladly accept your offer” they said with cheerful look on their faces
With a huge smile on my face I gave them a nod then I went on my way. I hurried walking to the auditorium so we have plenty of time to discuss about the important matter Marg wanted to say and on top of that I was hoping if she could be my vice-president and Alice as her secretary
On my way there I suddenly ran into Sr. Draco upon my turn in the corner
“Mr. Paloma, why are you running in the hallway!” He said
“Sorry Sir. I didn’t saw you because it was a blind spot” I said as I help him stand up
“So even the Oculuses’ eyes have blind spots”
“You’re heading to the auditorium, correct?” He ask
“Yes!” I said as if I am in a hurry
“Well then let me accompany you I am actually heading there as well”
“Looks like you don’t know your way to the campus” He said then starts walking
“Crap! Am I really heading the wrong way?” A thought inside my head as I follow him
I walk faster in order to catch up.
“If you don't mind me asking Sir. What is the transfer ceremony anyway?” I ask
“Well to put it in simple words the ceremony is just for show”
“You will just be blessed by the elite which includes the board, the current student council, and lastly the headmaster”
“It is just a symbol that they are giving you authority to rule and govern over the students of this institution” He said
“I see” I reacted as I nod my head
“So who are your members?”
“I didn’t saw anyone when you went up stage” He said
“I only have two at moment”
“My trusty treasurer and auditor” I said
“And their names are?” He ask
“The Agramon twins, my good sir” I said
He started giggling upon hearing me said those words
“The fear feaster? You must be joking?”
“You know that race isn’t even qualified to be called a race. Do you think they can rule over the superior clans? I don’t think so”
“If i were you I would reconsider my choice and pick a more suitable committee”
“Just a friendly reminder, people are expecting great result from you and that includes me”
“So shape up!” He said
“So that’s how the prefect visualizes potential. What a pathetic mindset” I mocked
“Excuse you!” He reacted
“You heard me! Or do you want me to repeat what I just said?”
“I said you have a pathetic mindset”
“You have no sense of visuals because you just base talent and skill on the individual race”
“Just to be frank those twins can manage cash flow and they can even budget money which the other stupidents here don’t know”
“Basing from their actions all of them are just entitled mother f***s that can get anything they want and you’re telling me that the twins are in capable in doing the job right” I mocked
“Point taken” He said
“Next time if you speak to me make sure you think thrice before you say your thoughts”
“I do have a foul mouth and I won’t hesitate to mock you if I am sure what you said is not true” I said
“If that pleases you who am I to stop you” He said
After that our conversation terminated and we haven’t spoken a word after that. Not far from the entrance I saw Margaret and Alice standing at the side of the hallway. I asked permission to separate because I have business to attend to and he gave me permission. I quickly went on my way and approach Margaret and Alice
“Hi! Sorry to keep you waiting”
“So what is this you want to talk about? I ask
“I want to be part of the student council” Margaret unhesitantly said
“And what position do you want to be part of?” I ask with a straight face but deep down I was filled with joy because I don’t have to force her to join me
“Any position will so please let me join you” She begged
I don’t know why but she starts crying all of a sudden. I hugged her tight and started comforting her later do I know several students were already walking us and that includes Teodosia
“Alright there is nothing to see here!” Alice said as she escorts the students inside the auditorium
“Look Marg I would love you include you in my committee in fact I was about to propose it to you but you got me first”
“How about you join me as my vice president? Sounds good?” I ask
“You mean it?” She said sobbing
“Yes of course”
“Now get yourself fix you’ll join me on stage tomorrow and kindly ask Alice to become our secretary I am short in staff and I was hoping she can fill that spot”
“I would appreciate if you did that” I said
“Okay, you can count on me” She said sobbing
“No go I still have something to do”
“See on stage Marg” I said as I hug her tight then I went on my way
“So how did it go?” Alice ask as I pass by her
“She’ll tell the details to you later” I said then I rush to the back stage
“Look who finally decided to show up” Procyon said as I enter the conference room at the back
“So where is your party?” He ask
“Don’t worry I have one”
“I’ll just call them one by one later” I said
“That’s great!” He seems joyful
“The students are properly seated mom”
“Should I start the program?” someone said coming for the doorway
I got a little bit curious so I turned around to have a look. It was Clara
“Hi Ramon!” She greeted
“Proceed” The siren said who I think is her mother
She bows then then immediately takes her leave
I don’t know why but the way she looks at me it feels like I did something wrong. Looks like she is not as friendly as her two daughters. I better keep my distance from her, she gives me the stay away from me kinda vibe. So it is best to avoid her for the meantime
“Have a sit kid as we wait for the headmaster”
“Apparently she is late” Vandalir said
I took a seat and the chair was comfy but it felt different. The atmosphere become intense all of a sudden as if I am being roasted
“Is it just me or is it getting kinda hot here?” I said
They didn’t speak a word. All they did was stare at me as if they were examining me or something and it is really creeping me out. I stood up and asked permission to leave the room because I really can’t stand it anymore.
