Night time and I am having my dinner then my phone suddenly rang. Skylia was calling. I immediately answered it
"Skylia what happened to you? You didn't answered any of my calls earlier" I immediately said
"I am just giving you a taste of your own medicine" she said sobbing
"Are you crying?" I asked
"No ... by the way Ramon I called because I wanted you to know that I am heading back at the university"
"Maybe tomorrow morning I am there already" she seems glad telling me
"Okay I will wait for you so you can give you your uniforms" I said
Then I have this strange feeling. I wanted to tell her about my chat with her mother but I hesitated
"Ramon are you there?" She asked
"I am still here Skylia" I said but I am worried about her
Then she dropped the call
I lost my appetite. I cleaned the table and went straight to my terrace. I lie down on my hammock and watch the stars. I then started thinking about my confession. It was really a bad idea as I dug in deep I am being swallowed my negative outcomes
"What if she turns me down"
"What if she loves someone else"
"What if her parents don't want me for her"
"What if" I then started to drop tears
"What if she is happy with Vermilion right from the start"
I started hating myself. I questioned my existence. I even asked Emre why did me made me like this
Yeah why did it make me like this? Surely there is a reason but what?
"If you are watching me right now please hear my prayer"
"What is your purpose in bringing me here? Out of all the students who took the exam here why did I placed first? Why did I meet Skylia? I just wanted to know that's all" I asked Emre
I wiped my tears away and stood up then I just received a message. I immediately checked it thinking Skylia send it
"Ramon will report here tomorrow morning before your classes start. I need to discuss a very important matter" from Ms. Paterson
I gave Elena a call
"Hey yeah I can't go tomorrow morning I have this very important matter I should attend too" I informed her
"If you don't come here tomorrow you won't have a class to attend too" she seems pissed
"No need to be upset. How about we set our meeting earlier let's say five o clock"
"You see you're not the only that is busy" I said
"Just make sure I see your face at my office tomorrow morning" she seems calmer
"Yeah! Is that all?" I asked
She hangs up
I went to my bed room, set my alarm and lie down on my bed.
"Big brother wake up you're already late" my alarm wailing
I immediately stopped it and stood up. I made a couple of stretches then freshen up. I prepared breakfast and made two extra cups of my perfect coffee. As soon as it's ready I ate my breakfast then take a bath
I grabbed my things and immediately went to the main building. I rushed towards Elena's office but it was lock
"Elena should be here right now" I said to myself
I gave her a call
"Hey where are you it's already pass our meeting time" I shouted
"I am at my office waiting for your arrival" she said
I got confused. I checked the room and I was on the wrong floor. How foolish of me I didn't bother checking the room first.
"What floor is your office again" I asked
"Top floor" she seems upset
I immediately rushed to the top floor. I entered her room
"Sorry Elena I stopped at the wrong floor"
"Too make it up to you. Here's a cup of my perfect coffee. You also have one" I offered them
"Now you're here, let's discuss your class. You will be placed in the last section which has the dumbest students"
"I want you to help them excel. I don't care how you do it but make sure to don't break any rules. Did you get that?" Elena ordered
"So you're telling me to help my classmates but why? What's the catch?" I asked because I sense something fishy
"In order for this university to have the best ranking all students should excel that's why the board placed you in the lowest section to balance out the grade distribution" she informed
"Okay I will do it in one condition" I said
"What!" She raised her voice
"I want to change something in my contract. It's not much but I am fine with it"
"Tell your boss that I want my expenses reset every quarter" I ordered
"Lorna schedule me a meeting with the board" she ordered
"I will update you as soon as the board informs me about your request" she said to me
"Okay I will be on my way I still have to prepare my lunch" I said as I ran towards the door
"See yeah" I gave a salute then exit
I immediately rushed downstairs. I grabbed my bike and pedaled fast. I am closing in on the boarding house. I saw Skylia exit her car and exit as well. I can't picture out who he is but he wrapped his arm around Skylia's shoulder
I got pissed to I gave it my all just to catch up with them
"Skylia!" I shouted
They stopped and took a look. The man she was with was Vermilion. He gave me an intimidating glare then they walked away
I started clenching my fist. I parked my bike then walked up the staircase and entered the lobby. I saw them entering the elevator. I ran towards them but the door already closed
Then the adjacent elevator opened with no time to lose. I went up but I was too late. It looked like they had entered Vermilion's room. I slammed my hand against the wall
I entered my room grabbed my phone and texted Skylia
"Hi Sky kindly pick up your uniforms here" I sent
Then someone knocked I opened the door and it was Vermilion
"Hand over Skylia's uniforms" he ordered
I shove the uniforms at him then slam the door at his face. I took a couple of deep breaths and I finally calm down
I prepared myself a quick lunch then I freshen up. I prepared my all the necessary things and stash them in my bag
I wear my uniform and look at myself in the mirror
"You Sir look great in that Mythingale University uniform" I said at my reflection then gave a wink
I grabbed my bag and then went on my way. I rode my bike then fast moving cars came out of nowhere. I arrived at the main building
"What class are you in?" A staff asked
"The last ranking class" I said
She escorted me to our line. I stepped away from my line and sat on a bench. I gave Skylia a call but her number is cannot be reached
I opened my Instaglam account, so maybe I can contact her. I look around in search for her as the page loads then its finally done loading. I checked my inbox and immediately clicked our conversation
"What class are you in?" I sent
As I waited for her reply I opened my notifications there and I saw a friend request and it was Lorna Espiritu. I accepted her. Then I checked this tagged post. I was surprised that Elena tagged me in her post saying "thanks for the coffee really made my morning with different emojis"
Seeing that somehow cheers me up. I tried opening my inbox once more and I have these message requests. I was pissed just seeing his name. I opened his message
"If you know what's good for you better stay away from Skylia" from Vermilion
"The nerve of that guy who do he think he is"
"He can't scare me. I'll show him" I shouted in my mind
Then our line started to move. I quickly stood up and fell in line. I checked my inbox one last time and still no reply. I hid my phone and started calming myself
We finally entered our room. I was the last one to decide my seat. The only one remaining is the seat in front of the adviser. I immediately sat and pulled out my phone hoping she finally replied. Then someone entered and my classmates all stood up I was left behind
"Good day class I am Ms. De Villa your class adviser"
"And I want all of you tell us your names and interest"
"Let's start with you" she said as she points me out
I took a deep breath
"I am Ramon Paloma and I like proving myself worthy" I said with full conviction
My classmates have this weird look on their faces and start murmuring. I just sat down didn't bothered listening to a word they're saying
