I head back to my seat as she enters the room.
“Mr. Paloma meet me at the faculty office on your recess” Ms. De Villa said as she pick her things up
I just nod my head as a sign of approval
Ms. De Villa gives us a few reminders then she leaves for her next class
“Psst! Ramon”
“What did you two talk about?” the twins ask
“Oh, nothing special”
“Just about my campaign and the upcoming election” I said
“By the way, how’s your campaign doing?”
“I haven’t seen you in public for quite sometime now” Darryl Lyn said
“No worries, Katarina and the rest of the student council are doing the work for me”
“At the moment I am just winding up a bit so I’ll have a clear head when the last leg of the campaign starts”
“You see, we will be having a debate soon and right after that the election” I said
“Prof is coming!” one of our classmates shouted
Everyone heads back to their seats and stops whatever they are doing. As soon as the professor enters the class starts.
After several hours the classes ended. It’s now time for lunch and Ms. De Villa is waiting for me at the faculty.
“You guys go ahead I need to pay Ms. De Villa a visit” I said to the twins
“Do you want something from the cafeteria?” Cherry Lyn ask
“Nah I’m good” I said
“Okay see you later” I wave goodbye then went on my way
I knock three times at the faculty door before entering. I slowly open the door and I saw the professors all staring at me as I enter
“Good morning ma’am. Good morning sir” I greeted followed by a bow
“Great you’re here”
“Have a seat” Ms. De Villa said as she offers me the seat in front of her
I take a sit and said
“So, why did you call me here?” I ask
“So, tell me more about my sister’s powers. Like what did you see and what it was like”
“Does it resemble mine?” Alexandra said
“Slow down Alex” I said and she immediately stared daggers at me. Looks like I stepped on a landmine. I should have not done that LOL
“My apologizes” I said but there is still that menacing look on her face
She pulls my collar then shows off her reddish eyes
“You know we are in school right? Do you seriously want to die? She ask
“You might want to let go?” I said as I look all over the room
She shifted her glance and saw her colleagues all staring at her. She lets go of me and properly take a sit
“Sorry” She insincerely said as she fixes her coat
I wag my head with a grin on my face and start guilt tripping her to make a more sincere apology but it didn’t budge
“Just answer my question so you can leave” Alexandra said
“Why do you want to know it in the first place? Insecure much?”
“Are you afraid that one day your sister will surpass you?” I tease
“Surpass me? Sorry but not happening”
“Devil’s powers are based on how fast it awakens. I got my limiter removed at the age of five and she only got her on her eighteenth birthday”
“My eyes were fully awaken at the age of seven and she only got hers today” Alexandra flexes herself
“Her eyes are different. A yellowish flare emits from its core and yours is only a reddish glow around the iris”
“The expression on her eyes is too intense and the feeling I had just looking at it is frightening.” I said
Alexandra just looked at me with a smug look on her face. She closes her eyes then said
“Like this?” then a dark red flare came out of her eyes. My heart starts to race and it is getting harder for me to breathe. Her colleagues are all at the corner and they all look frightened. Then my eyes turned blue which managed to cancel out hers. The staves are all shocked upon seeing me canceling Alexandra’s powers. They all went back to their seats and continue whatever is it they are doing but one staff approached us
“What’s your name kid?” He ask
“I’m Ramon Paloma sir” I informed
“Paloma? Never heard of that name before, tell me what are you?” He ask
“I am an Oculus sir” I hesitantly said
“An Oculus you say”
“I thought your race have been obliterated by the gods a century ago”
“Looks like the gods made a faulty job” He said
“I expect to see you on the top kid” His last words before he left
“Who’s that guy?” I ask Alexandra in a whispering manner
“Him, don't mind him. He’s just the best spirit user in this campus”
“Like us, he too possess mythical eyes” Alexandra said
“By the looks of it he’s a forest spirit” I uncertainly said
“Yeah a Dryad to be exact”
“That’s why he’s the most powerful spirit user among us because his magic comes from the natural mana itself” Alexandra said
“About powers. So, how much improvement did my sister’s magic raise?”
“I’m tingling in excitement here. Don’t keep me hanging” She said
“Chill, what happened is rather disturbing so please don’t freak out I promise that nothing happen between us”
“You see I might have entered the bathroom while she was taking a bath. I ran into her the moment we open the door and I saw her naked”
“She was so furious and almost killed me luckily reasoning work against her”
“Her dark spirits somehow look different and the gate she summons two woodlike hands popped out of from it” I said
“Woodlike?” Alexandra said with a weird expression on her face
“Weird right, unlike yours she has this dark tendrils and wood like hands coming out her gate. Like what the f**k that’s way out of the line in devil magic”
“But come to think of it she has this dark spirits and I haven’t seen a single spirit you’ve summon” I said with a curious look in my face
“Believe me you don’t want to see the spirits I can summon” She said as if she’s trying to frighten me
“K” I reacted then I stand up
“If I were you I’ll just talk to her in person”
“Alright I am out” I said then I walk away
“Hey when will you pay me a visit again?”
“I would love another round of this coffee of yours” She said
“Maybe next time Alex” I teased
She then picks a stapler and throws it directly at me but I manage to dodge it. I ran outside the close the door
“Looks like you two had a misunderstanding?” Cherry Lyn said then she hands over a sandwich and Darryl Lyn then hands over a juice
“Thanks” I said
“So what happened back there?”
“Why is Ms. De Villa shouting at you?”
“And talk about the stapler” the twins said
“Nah that was nothing. We are just playing that’s all” I cheerfully said
“Playing? Really?” Cherry Lyn reacted
I place my arms around their head then drag them back to the room
“Let’s go classes will resume shortly” I said
“Looks like Alexandra is really in a new other level”
“Just thinking about her capabilities makes me shiver and that dude from earlier. Feels like something is wrong. I don’t know why but my senses tell me that I should just leave him alone. He is the top spirit user in campus” thoughts inside my head
“Earth to Ramon. Hello can you please let us to it’s getting cramp here” the twins said but I didn’t heard them because my mind has driften off
Darryl Lyn then gave me a pinch which brought back my senses. I immediately let them go
“Hey are you alright? Is something the matter?”
“You seem spaced out” Darryl Lyn ask
“I’m fine just thinking about something so don’t worry I’ll be alright” I said
The reactions on their faces seem unsatisfied with my answer. Feels like they are doubting me at the same time worried
Cherry Lyn then wraps herself at my arm then said
“You know you can trust us right?”
“So if something’s bothering you don’t hesitate to tell us”
“Maybe we can help resolve it”
“Thanks guys. But I think I can handle this on my own”
“It’s not a big deal problem anyway” I said
Darryl Lyn then wraps around my arm as well then said
“Dummy! Why face everything yourself if you have us”
“Remember that three brains are better than one”
“Yeah, and no man is an island”
“You’re problem is our problem and our problem is now your problem so live with it” Cherry Lyn said in a teasing manner
