I went back to the kitchen and tried to continue working. I couldn’t really focus and couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened earlier. Lucas kissed me? Does that mean that the woman he likes that he was talking about is me?
I still couldn’t get my head around it when Lucas suddenly came inside the kitchen. The other girls immediately smiled at him and said, “Hi, Lucas.”
Lucas smiled and greeted the girls back, then walked towards me. I was near the kitchen sink while peeling some potatoes.
Lucas: “Hi Sarah.”
I didn’t look at Lucas and just said, “Hi.”
Lucas: “Are you busy?”
Sarah: “What does it look like?”
Lucas: “Ooh, what’s with the attitude?”
Sarah: “Sorry. I’m just busy.”
Lucas: “Okay. Can you do that later? Can we talk?”
Sarah: “Uhm, Juanita needs these potatoes soon.
