Lucy said nothing on the drive back to the bed-and-breakfast. She didn’t know what to say. That kiss—it had devastated her. She’d never been kissed like that in her entire life. And throughout this whole evening, she hadn’t been thinking about Hayden: her mind had been solely on Carter.
