As I floated through the emptiness I knew to be death, I could’ve sworn I heard the sweet voice of my little mate calling to me. Begging for my return. I knew somehow, I had to get back to her.
A wave of electricity jolted through me and the emptiness turned into a place I once called home. I heard laughter float around me and I turned to the sound, seeing a younger me and my little sister, Sylvie.
